They tried, but then the first and only prototype got one-shotted by a random other light mech before it could step off the production line.

Scat basically is the bigger (and slightly slower with MASC) version of RVN-3L the Clanners had dreamed of having. Does well in the ECM sniper role but with back up weapons this time.

Yup. I'm no light pilot, but if I'm gonna pilot a clan light, it'll be the Arctic Cheater. No hard feelings for having that in the pack.

I love me some mediums, and a 6JJ 45t medium will be right bouncy. 16t pod space? I can do a lot with that. Most importantly, its not a stormcrow, AND it takes a mere 45t deck space.

I still think the Cauldron Born will be the king of this pack, at least for me, but I'll probably have the most fun in the Scat.

i dont like the cockpit. im a trackir user and mechs like the atlas and shadowhawk make using trackir pointless because of their tunnel vision cockpits. it looks to have a very narrow fov (sort of like the centurion which is better than atlas or sh, but still kind of limited). up till now clan cockpits have been really good in the visibility department. dont ruin that on one of my favorite mechs.

Look at the scaling on that thing, the size of the cockpit and the Gauss? by comparison it looks tiny! That almost looks like light scaling!

Ice ferret might as well go cry in a corner now, ahead of the rush later, because it'll go from an endangered species to extinct when the naturally predatory shadowcats and arctic cheetahs are introduced to the mech-cosystem.
