Since the last patch + hotfix

Repeatedly crashing to desktop in a random manner - game just quits, once it did it twice in the same match.

Win 8.1, 64bit - running the 32 bit client with dx9, voip disabled.

Game was not doing this before the last patch.

Doesn't happen in every match, no observable pattern other than I am always in the process of running at the time of the crash - if that helps.

Well there seem to be some crashing problems related to running the game with dx9. They are applying a hotfix for some of those later today, maybe that will help you, too.

PGI also listed some workarounds for crash-issues here (if you're feeling impatient or the hotfix doesn't help):
