I think that this is a point that most people don't even realize or bother to indulge.
These mechs with full leg, arm & hand actuators, and the mechs built on synthetic musculature Myomer, every single one was capable of so much more expression.
They're not rigid hunks of metal, these vehicles become an extension of the pilot's body with as much movement and character as the pilot themselves.
Punching, kicking, jumping, crouching, leaning around corners, both arms up pointing at two different targets, you name it, what ever the range of their actuators and skill of the pilot allowed for.
That is the impression I always had of Battlemechs anyway.
When it comes to MWO though I guess simpler is better, as it would be one hell of a job for the animators.
And yes if its even remotely considered, so must the implications of abuse, like the Infamous Dolphin diving that battlefield-2 had when they allowed no transition time between Prone and Crouch, stuff like that needs to be thought of.

MWLL had crouching take a second to enter and exit while you had to remain stationary, although the benefits were pretty nice.
Decreased missile lock time and better torso pitch, to shoot those pesky Aerospace fighters.
MWO wouldn't really benefit with that sort of implementation, MWO is a faster moving game, even if the mechs are technically slower, they are much more agile.
I'm not against it, but it wouldn't be the easiest thing to implement. I don't expect it any time soon.

Yes, but they wont redo all the animations. Would take forever, and longer each time they add a new mech (which theyre adding alot)
Also. Tweet this stuff. Tweet about an HTAL too. I want my damned HTAL.

Absolutely. Here's a couple of snippets from the Tech Manual:

(Tech Manual, p.40)

(Tech Manual, p.43)
Also, please see the Sarna.net entry on Noisiel:
Quote
In 3047 the first Noisiel Summer Games were held, with the Duke of the world fighting his son in a BattleMech duel. The two men fought in Atlas 'Mechs to determine who would bid on a government contract. Unlike most 'Mech duels, the two men used their 'Mechs as rugby players, moving a half-ton sphere around a one square kilometer playing field. This proved to be so popular that the Noisiel Summer Games were expanded to include 'Mech-scale hockey, football, baseball, and chess. The event is twelve days long, and provides a unique outlet for MechWarriors to show their skills. The Games put more focus on finesse and piloting skill than they do gunnery
If you can play rugby, hockey, football, baseball, and chess in a 'mech... It's going to be at least a bit agile

I think it would raise concerns about massive poptarting again and turning the game into a cover shooter.
Either way, if crouching was possible then I would also like to see strafing.

For some reason, that would be way to many controls just to move....
WASD for forward, backwards, left and right, Q and E for strafing? C or ctrl for crouch? lol.

Crouching was in MW4:Mercs and pretty much anything that game had I'm all for. But remember they have to do the animation and that takes resources away from probably more important work...
