...in the firepower department? Gargoyle and Executioner are cool with their mobility but they only have half or less DWF's punch, which is kind of sad for assaults. The Warhawk has like 3/5 DWF's pod space (in mass) but it's so stuffed with fixed double heat sinks. Is there an alternative out there in this timeline or in the near future? Preferably something humanoid with Warhawk's speed and pod space but free of fixed DHS. It would also be cool if it has either or a combination of ECM, JJ, or MASC. Am I asking too much? :P

It's not an OmniMech?

Apparently it would have 10 fixed DHS filling the pod space in MWO like the WHK

This looks somewhat decent but it has a standard engine (but it's also equipped with both endo and ferro :o) and 7 DHS outside the engine. How much pod space it has? Both in mass and bulk.

Curious, why do we need another clan mech to do what one already does???

In terms of what's currently available in MWO I've bested Dire Wolves with my Warhawk all the time. It may weigh 15 tons less, but the energy boat efficiency of the warhawk is nothing to sneeze at. It also has a ton of missle hard points for added shotgun blast damage with SRMs. Outside of MWO my money is on the Kodiak every time. 100 ton jump capable assault with just as many if not more hard points than a Dire just about.

Variations, my friend, variations!

The IS (assaults) has it better but they can also swap engines and choose to mount Endo/Ferro or not.

Nice...

kraken is a battlemech that has 14 ballistics stock~

10 UAC 2, 4 Mg's... with no ghost heat on atm for the UAC 10 THIS WILL BE FUN
Oh and I made a build earlier, 2 x UAC 20, 12 x MG. (fun fact, the MG's are in such a high number it's like 11 damage PER SECOND)

Kodiak is another battlemech that is awesome, I NEED it...

Behemoth simular thing.

An assault with Warhawk speed, Direwolf firepower, and ECM? AND JJ's?!?

Yes. Yes you are asking too much.

Yes. Yes you are asking too much.

But the Executioner almost has them all (plus GRIM LOOK and humanoid shape!) except the most important part, which is t3h firepowa! I'm not saying that it should have them all, but most importantly, a good balance between firepower (pod space) and mobility. Plus point if it can mount either ECM, JJ, or MASC :P I think the Warhawk is already as close as we can get. I just wish the Executioner had Endo instead.

Turkina would probably come closest to the sheer firepower of the D-Wolf. (Even lore wise there is not much that can match the amount of BOOM the Smoke Jaguars stuffed into that thing). It's slow as well, looks a bit like a KingCrab without claws and is pretty much a walking/jumping arsenal.

http://www.sarna.net...i/Mad_Cat_Mk_II

Does that count?

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Annihilator

By how this reads it says Annihilator was originally a Clan Battlemech but got discontinued.

Quote

Originally developed in the final year of the Amaris Civil War as the ultimate fixed position city defense BattleMech, the Annihilator was built as a sign of the military strength of both the Star League in Exile and the newly created Clans. The 100-ton 'Mech has a maximum speed of 32.4 km/h, making it one of the slowest 'Mechs ever designed together with the UrbanMech. It is by no means intended to use speed to outmaneuver an enemy, instead depending on its twelve and a half tons of armor to weather any fire that is directed at the 'Mech. Discontinued before the Clans' Golden Century, in one of their few missteps, the Wolf's Dragoons brought a number of designs with them in 3009, raising more questions to their origins while at the same time adding to their mystique. It was exclusive to the Dragoons until the Jihad disseminated the design to Arc-Royal due to the strengthening of the relationship that Wolf's Dragoons forged with the Kell Hounds and Clan Wolf-in-Exile following their flight from Outreach.

All Possibilities just not in this timeline

However if you want a bit of wub I believe this could be a Battlemech option for more fire power.

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Supernova by the looks of this yes its clan.

You can't possibly know how much I want an Mk. II to exist in MWO. It has been a subject of my wet dream since its inception in MW4! I realize though, that it shouldn't exist because it's a creation of Microsoft. But just thinking about it, it's already meta fresh from the factory!

I'll disagree on teh Kingfisher. It has a standard engine which eats up a chunk of tonnage. Its a good solid Mech, but doesn't have the throw weight of the Dire.

Clanners gonna cry when Gunslinger gets out. :D ECM + optional JJs + ballistic slots each arm + seven energy slots. Ultimate Assault ECM sniper.

Not exactly a concern.

85 tons?
2 JJs?
IS XL Engine (255) Stock?
Low slung weapon points?

Just sounds like Shadow Cat food.
45 tons
6 JJs
Clan 270 XL
(ECM as well)
Jet-fighter torso profile.
Oh, and MASC.

if you look at the timestamp, however, I started to write my post (google the image and stuff) before your post was visible, hence the statement.

With the current status of JJ.. meh, I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see a real overhaul of the curret JJ mechanics but without going back to the old mono jump sniper era (full shake during the flight could be a simple but effective idea).

Btw, it's too slow for a light assault and also has an XL engine. Could be a really good mech, but it needs some modifications.
