Just wondering when the next keys will be released if any?

Saw an update that said 500 were issued on the 28th for Founders ...congrats to those who received them.

Only thing we really know is that Founders will get access on August 7th. Whether they release more keys between now and then is entirely up to what the Developers decide they need for the current beta incarnation.

They're currently facing the limits of their current hardware.
That means they have to be careful not to let too many people in and stress the servers too much.

10th of july production hardware is scheduled to go live, so I figure that's when the big releases will be.

Before that.. perhaps a trickle here and there.

This is correct. They're considering showing some degree of favortism to founders for the July 10th wave, although they've given no details and no official confirmation in that regard.

And, of course, there's always good old August 7th.


Unless it gets delayed. This is game development. They may not be Valve, but there is always room for delays.

Yea well they had to let the atlas carry it to it's destination for dramatics. Couldnt use that charger parked in the mech bay NOOOO.

Though on a serious note yea production hardware will go live soon enough so be patient

A hand full of founders were selected before july 10th. July 10th is the day of new blood. Aug 7th is open beta.

Incorrect. As far as I know, Open Beta has not yet been announced. August 7th is Founders Access to Closed Beta.

There was a posted date for July 10th... no idea if that is still true based on the fact they gave out some keys on the 28th.

1st - I think July 10th date was announced as the date their production equipment was supposed to be online, that date was never a date for more beta key releases although if the equipment goes online ok it wouldn't be to far out of line to expect they may release a few more beta keys.
2nd - phase 2 closed beta date remains August 7th beta keys released as a perk for purchasing a founders pack
3rd - I have not seen any information or a solid date announced for "open" beta

Russ said they will invite more people in as the hardware allows it. They're upgrading their stuff in July and as they get the computer servers setup to handle more load they can then invite more players. They're not going to allow in more people than they can logically handle at a time. If they did, you'd get in but it's be so laggy and the login queues would be so long it'd be pointless.

But they're wiping all in game assets come August anyway so you're not missing out on any farm time if you don't get in early. People that do get in pre August will not be able to stock up on money or Mechs to use at August.

August 7th IS the open beta, meaning anyone can buy their way in and have access. The current beta is what is closed, meaning you have to be luckily selected to get one of very few slots.

They've actually said that all beta draws are now going to draw from Founder purchasers... and that's what just happened too. They sent out 500 invites and only to Founder accounts.

people are still getting some dates confused. My main developer update post should have made this clear.

We are going to our production hardware fairly soon which will signify moving into Closed Beta 2 and we will have a lot more capacity. At this point we will start to invite in Founders purchasers at a pace we can handle.

Aug 7th is when the Founders are guaranteed to get access if they have not already. This is also when the injection of the founders Mech and other rewards are put into the game.

Aug 7th is not open beta.

Open Beta will be sometime after Aug 7th...we have not announced an exact date yet.

Actually, it's just plain ol founders access on Aug 7th. You can say anyone can buy their way in right now, and indeed they can. The difference is, if open beta started on Aug 7th, anyone could get in on aug 8th (that's what makes it "open"). They can't, failure to buy the founders package prior to Aug 7th (and maybe sooner) means you can NOT get in the next day. What they've been marketing, and selling, is guaranteed access to the closed beta on Aug 7th, after that, everyone gets to go crawl back under their rocks until open beta actually occurs. This will happen between Aug 7th and the end of summer.

Could you specify 'fairly soon'?
Are 'we' still on schedule for the previously mentioned 10th of july?
Or perhaps sooner, or later?
