Which Stalker Next?

Any suggestions are welcome.
My main consideration is not boating, the 5M has that covered, the 3F loaded with a stnd300, 2 ERLL 2 ML and 4 srm6s is a toe to toe murder machine.
What fills the gap with flexibility?

There's also the Stalker-5S if you need dual AMS.
LRMs are great on the Stalker-3H.
There's no flexibility option unless you actually acquire the Misery to gain the ballistic hardpoint.

I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend the 4N, which is probably the top energy (mid-range) Stalker in the game right now with 4 to 6 LLAS.
If you really don't want to go that route, and don't mind spending MCs, the Misery is the most unique of the bunch and while not really tippity top of the best - it is still an excellent mech and the only Stalker with a Ballistic hardpoint.

Can't do the Misery as much as Id like to, saving MC for premium time.
The 4N is tweaked for large lasers, that does interest me. Have advanced zoom on the 3F and snipe early in waiting for things to progress a bit. Sniping with 4 or more LL would be fun, plus that is enough fire power for up close.
I like the 3F for toe to toe fighting because it has so much more turret rotation, with the power from the 300 class engine I can turn fight lights and move away when I need to while still engaging.
The problem with boating is no other stalker can touch the 5M, I have it loaded with 3 lrm5s and 2 lrm10s, and 2070 lrms, topped off with 5 ml and enough heat sinks to keep it cool. Nasty is the only way to describe it. Lots of 600+ damage point matches. Running another boat would just be less.
Thanks for the reply.

2 nods for the 4N being a bit different.
The 5S just seems like a rehash of the 3F with worse yaw angle.
Got a couple mil more cbills to go but that will be pretty quick.
Think you guys have me leaning toward the 4N
Thanks

Then I think you should go with the 4N, with the quirks + T5 range module, I think the LLAS have around 580m (585m ?) optimal range, and excellent heat quirks.
You can run 4x LLAS and basically fire 2x2 almost indefinitely, or go for a high firepower load like 5 or 6 x LLAS.

On a cold map, you can just alpha twice and insta kill anyone not moving too much.

2 SRM6 with 2 tons ammo
2 LRM15 with 3 tons ammo
2 AMS with 2 tons ammo
300 Standard Engine
Endo-Steel Structure
6 Additional (with 2 in Engine) Double Heat Sinks.

I played with sim loads in the 3F before I bought the 5M, good all around load out.
in CW you can take 2 Stalkers and 2 Jenners in. I have 3 Jenners and used the trial 3F(C). Big part of the decision to buy more Stalkers other than elite tier was that mix is a perfect 240 tons.

I believe that as far as innersphere goes a heavily loaded armored up Stalker is the best answer to Atlases.
Really would love the Misery, but have so much time to play because my hours at work got cut back to 40. When it warms up I probably will get it just to have it. With the kind of cbills I can stack I might eventually buy all the Stalker variants. Besides the Jenner it is my favorite Mech.

-4N in laser all the things mode
-5S dual LPL x4 mlas dual srm 4 dual AMS ruins things.
Or you can go high brow and Misery, with the hero bonuses that thing is a cash cow.

Thanks for the reply.
My 5M runs 5x LRM10s and 4x ML and a TAG to paint my own stuff. 10 tons of ammo I believe for 1800 rounds.

I guess this is now just a Stalker discussion thread. I would like to hear about load outs.

Wicked, a stnd 300 as well. I like the survivability of the Stnd.

do you get a pause when chainfiring? Ive been thinking about stepping back to 5 lrm5s and adding a couple more tons of ammo to eliminate the brief pause I get.
