So I'm taking it as this:

Marik players were mostly upset over losing the wormhole. Even though it was originally worded as an 'experiment' and from the very start it was said the initiative could be cancelled at any time, deep down inside everybody had really grown fond of it, and were glad that it existed as it bore the hopes of an earlier engagement with the clans. Kurita's closure of it was the single thing that ruined diplomatic relations and there never would have been any hostilities in spite of everything.

Yet, on the forums, Marik focused their argumentative rhetoric almost equally on the way Kurita players handle their selves in forums, bringing that up just as often as bringing up the irresponsible and undiplomatic closure of the wormhole. The mentions of Kurita forum trolling eventually got, from our perception, to be orders of magnitude more serious and intense than the original troll posts were. We in Kurita think the 'merc pig go home' and 'die clanner' memes are just funny and nothing more, but several Marik players were insistent on the fact that certain individuals are just caustic and horrible people. We've been told that we are arrogant so many times. Honestly, when someone takes a troll post more seriously than the troll does, that person has been trolled. It really looked like not only were some people taking it very seriously, but they were yielding interesting results when trolled further. It really started to look like this was the reason we were being war-decced and less about the wormhole. Of course, nobody will ever admit to being trolled and I'm not expecting anyone to, as it's so much easier to say they still have a grip over themselves and their reasons for saying everything are completely sane. It's the same way Mischief knows there will never be any surrenders in this game, it's the internet and we're prideful. But really. Marik people who had had enough honestly thought we needed to be taught a lesson.

He hasn't been active there in a couple of months. Last activity was Jan 9th apparently. Sandpit hasn't done anything since last November.
