Catapult, but I see myself piloting a variety of things. Hell, I ran around in a Cougar in MW4 when everyone else just sat in their Daishi.

I'm not really one for mediums though.

Catapult. There's a lot you can do with a 65-ton 'Mech that's jump capable.

Atlas, for the simple reason that it's the only one which is my favourite within its weight class. Because the founder mechs give a bonus, I would feel like I'm missing out using a different mech instead.

So when I use an assault mech, my preferred ride will be the one with the 25% advantage. When I use other weight classes I'll feel fine using whichever mech I like best without missing out on the extra cash reward.

well I'm new to mechwarrior universe (did play mechwarrior 2 on the PS1) and have no idea what people are going on about when taking about changing gun types and such, but I'll learn fast I'm sure esp with 4 mechs to play with
and you never know i might just find a combo that the oldskool wouldn't think of lol

Catapult. I'll probably ultimately pilot a light or a medium mech, but of the four mechs to chose from the Catapult is by far my favorite. And, hey, I'll have it available whenever I feel like hurling a bunch of missiles.

Can you even land on top of other mechs and damage them that way?

I found these sites to be rather helpful:

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page

http://www.ign.com/w...ine/Battlemechs

Founder variants:

Atlas: AS7-D
Hunchback: HBK-4G
Catapult: CPLT-C1
Jenner: JR7-D

I chose the catapult. Its one of my faavorite mechs of all time and really fits in with my play style. If I need it to assalt I can refit it with srm 6's I love that thing.

The atlas well Its to freaken huge. I have never been a big fan of the Jenner.. The Hunchback is cool but never did carry enough ammo for my taste.

I will split between all of them as needed for the role required, at least until I can finally get a Marauder. Then, mostly Marauder I think...

P.S. I meant BOTH of them (heavy and assault) when they finally make it into game ^_^...

I picked Atlas because I don't like the stock variants of the hunchback or the catapult... and because I'm assuming an atlas will be more expensive then a jenner.
