Word is that the Executioner is going to have less pod space than the Ebon Jaguar even...

anyone want optional JJ instead of fixed ones?

Jump jets used to be optional on some variants of the Kitfox and Timberwolf. They changed them so they are tied to the omnipod. The Executioner has JJ in all its leg omnipods, so they are stuck there.

That said, the Executioner's strength appears to be in the massive number of energy hardpoints it will have available, 13 to be exact. I foresee 12 or 13xSPL being a dangerous build.

Why would it get unlocked ones and the TBR would still be locked?

I think they just need to fix JJ's. It has like 20 tons of pod space...19 locked DHS and FF but no Endo. I dont see it having the same issues the Garg's have though.

Prime has this config stock...

LA- 1x Gauss and 1x DHS
RA- 2x ER LL and 2x DHS
LT- MASC, 2 tons Gauss Ammo
RT- 2x MG's and 1 Ton of MG ammo

Should have no problem making a decent mech out of that...i would just drop the MG's and pack on more Lasers or DHS.

The problem isn't really the jump jets (well it wouldn't be if jump jets weren't so terrible), but yeah the biggest problem is those mechs using Ferro instead of Endo which would give them much more weight in return for the crit space.

I'm a huge proponent of allowing clan mechs to add/remove Ferro and Endo, but making jump jets actually good so you wouldn't want to remove them anyway :P

25 tons of pod space, 16 hardwired DHS. 5 engine, 1 RT.

It can mount better loadouts than Mr Gargles, a large ballistic and a brace of lasers.

I should hope so, it's 15 tons heavier than the Garg!

I'd rather build it with several different kinds of laser, Some PPCs, some LPLs with some backups Mediums and Smalls.
Nice long range punch, strong in the mid ranges and brutal close up.

Wonder how many DHS i could cram into that sucker ....

I'll just enhance my usual gargoyle build: GR+3t, 2xML, 4xSL to something with more lasers (3x nipple-mounted ML) and 7xSL. Rest goes in DHS and a TC mk I. I'll be happy if it will work even a bit worse than my Gar-D.

I would be happy to play a UAC 20 but it sucks, so..

It has 6DHS built in and has good hardpoint that should allow for asymmetric load outs.

25 tons of clan weapons, depending how the weapons is worth 30 tons or more of IS weapons.

Best part is I'm finally getting my damned Assault injected early instead of last.

I'm going to run this baby in regular queue like crazy. I'm not too sure how it's going to fit in CW drop decks yet though.

Just make a, wave 3 deck. One cheetah, Shadow cat, Ebon Jag, Executioner. Or if you want more swap the Ebon Jag for a Hellbringer
