I have come to the point where I am working on buying weapon modules for all of my 22 mech's, but I have noted that there are no range or cool down modules for the clan AC2, AC5, AC10 and AC20. So as the topic asks I would like to know the reason why?
Why Are There No Clan Modules For The Stock Ac's

Because they are placeholders for the lbx ammo switch and no one uses them

Sadly, the ammo swap functionality appears to not even be on a back burner at the moment. They seem to have straight up pulled it off the stove, packed it in tupperware, and jammed it into the fridge. I don't expect it to get re-heated until after the game gets... ahem, Steamed.

Thankfully, since PGI ditched Infinite Boat Anchor, SoonTM has become somewhere between "soon" and "it's on the list". But the town halls and roadmaps haven't mentioned a thing about this, so if they get it out before Steam release it will genuinely take me by surprise. A pleasant surprise, of course.

Switchable ammo is very difficult to implement in the cryengine, you see.
