Can I tell you how much joy I get from having my drop zone camped?

About so much joy, I just lost my wallet.

Amazing how that happens.

At least you can get in a game I couldn't get in one game last night cause the Steiner pre mades were zerging , so no room for me or other pugs ....please wait 10 mins till a match comes available.

PGI please answer our question why can't we have separate ques for pugs ?

Have the Leopards/Gazelles headshot units with Gausses instead of Medium Lasers.

You cannot have a separate queue for pugs, because then the premades would be unable to get an opposed drop. What the CW needs most of all right now is more players. If the pugs are going in there and getting slaughtered, as they do now, there is going to have to be far greater motivation to bring them in. We can start with the money - and in removing or changing aspects of CW that make the experience so damned unpleasant for them.... such as the zerg rushing and zone camping map designs, and the general lack of cover from LRMs.

The dream of the uber hardcore 12 man competitive league CW is all well and good, and it remains a valid idea - but the simple fact is, at the moment, there are simply not enough of these kinds of players playing the game right now to make it work. Most of them are "taking a break," "on vacation," or have moved on.

In some ways CW is perhaps the best experience so far, but in other ways it is also the worst. Remove more of the bad, and bring in more of the good. It is just as simple as that. You will know when it is working when you see hundreds, or thousands, of players in the queues, instead of the less than 200 we see most times now.

You know, perhaps we could give those empty drops something more to shoot at - some kind of challenging opponent instead of the just nothing we have now. Who really wants to wait 10 minutes to drop on nothing? That is another major aspects that drives the players away.

Agree with this.

I'll add that to me one of the disappointing (and surprising) things is that players aren't using some of the tools provided such as faction chat, on the fly unit creation, even VOIP doesn't get consistent use in CW. No explanation for why this is. Or maybe they are using and I just never saw it while faction hopping.

We were using these tools yesterday morning in the FRR - and at one point it took 20 minutes to find just two extra pugs - whom we were damned grateful to see. Guys were leaving the group to return to their units just to see if we could scare up a few more bodies in mechs, but even with an opponent sitting in queue waiting for us, we just couldn't find more than ten willing to go.

There were players - but not willing for CW.

When there are players we can get instant drops if we time it right.

i can never remember the map names

But 1 map the defenders have the spawn point away from the objectives and higher up which is good

all the other maps the drop points are literally on top of the objectives which is the problem, they need to move the defenders drop zones away from the objectives or just so you drop in some cover instead of in the open

Would that not just leave Omega more open to direct attack? Would speed up the Match for sure. Eject and by the time you return, Omega is gone, Match done. ;)

It's basically because you let it happen. Most games i try and get people to come up to the gate and try and choke point them but usually team sits back at omega they come in kill us and spawn camp for a bit before finishing off omega. Now if you just pushed up to the gate died, then repsawned fresh you could probably stop the rest of their assault push.

Progressive play for CW is the way.

Having only two locations the attacker spawn and the defender spawn will always result in a potential for spawn camping. Need to make CW play with progressive objects like Gold Rush in Bad Company.
