You can get good amount of power out of this for a decent price. I suggest checking it out.
Good luck with the new computer, and gaming.

Mobo: Asus P877Z V
CPU: Core i5 3570
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: 8 GB Patriot Gamer DDR3 1600
PSU: Corsair TX750 V2
Case: Fractal Design Define R3
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 560Ti 448
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120GB
Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 3TB
As Son of Jaak says, prices do fluctuate, so it doesn't hurt to wait. I like looking at builds like this to get some idea of what I could potentially build and what I might expect to pay. Obviously, you can substitute various parts for other less expensive ones or leave some out altogether.
After having read this thread, I definitely think you should spring for a new system. I don't know what your budget is and whether you want to roll your own, but a decent gaming machine can be had for inbetween $500 to 800.
Just my 2cents...........

THAT'S the low end? That's a bit overkill on alot there (for a low end computer), a SSD isn't really needed for a low end, nor are alot of the other parts. The $500-800 price range, however, is far more accurate.

Case: NZXT Tempest 210
CPU: AMD FX-4100 3.60 GHz Quad-Core AM3+
Cooling: AMD Certified CPU Fan & Heatsink
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AMD 970 AM3+ ATX
RAM: 8GB (4GB * 2) DDR3/1333MHz
GPU: Radeon HD 6870 1GB
PSU: 600 Watts
HDD: 500GB SATA-II 3.0GB/s 7200rpm
I could add a Corsair Hydro Series H60 Liquid Cooling System w/ single 120mm fan for an extra $20, but that seemed like overkill considering that I neither know how nor intend to overclock. They're also having a July 4th sale on a bunch of stuff, so I could bump up to a 2TB SATA-III 6.0GB/s 7200rpm HDD for an extra $22.

My wife already gave the OK, so it's just about figuring out the best bang for the buck and convincing myself to part with said buck.

Niiice! My wife has been complaining about our desktop performance and I've been blocking on a replacement. If MWO isn't acceptable on my new laptop, I'll let her know that I apologize and she was right all along about our desktop and get to building!
