Hi

An idea for a Game mode to give smaller groups and singles a more CW focus .. thereby taking the pressure of the main 12v12 matchs to accommodate smaller groups.

PARTISAN/GARRISON

FACTION - IS vs IS/CLAN
LOCATION - Recently captured (flipped) worlds (recently = 1 month?)

FORCES -
PARTISAN 4 Pilots (no redrop - 50 ton drop limit) (Light+Medium only)
GARRISON 4 Pilots (1 redrop - 90 ton drop limit) (Light+Medium only) OR 8 pilots (no redrops - 55 ton Drop limit) Light+Medium only)
OBJECTIVE -
PARTISAN - Destroy as many warehouses/Generators as possible (1-10)
GARRISON - Kill Partisans

CW EFFECT - Each destroyed warehouse/Generator = 5 ton reduction on all CW drops for the defending faction for 30 mins.

E.G. Clan wolf conquer Luthien, small groups of raiders/Partisans begin attacking supply lines forcing Clan high command to siphon off troops to garrison Luthien. Meanwhile IS main line companies attack/defend fully contested worlds meet weaker resistance.

Already in the works. From the March Roadmap Post:

Work is progressing very nicely on the new Mechlab and is scheduled to enter testing by the first part of April. We are also progressing well on a new 4v4 Community Warfare mode, a new MWO tutorial and the decal system. [/color]

50 ton drop penalty might be too high.

The CW Effect might need to be tiered.

E.G.
1-3 Warehouses/Generators destroyed = 5(10?) ton penalty
4-7 Warehouses/Generators destroyed = 10(20?) ton penalty
8-10 warehouses/Generators destroyed - 15(30?) ton penalty?

I heard that in the town halls yes ... but there are no details on the form those 4v4 matches might take or on how they might impact on CW as a whole.

I would assume they would want multiple 4v4 game modes and effects to make it varied.

Can't recall the reference now, but I think the 4v4 is going to be a scouting themed match. I really look forward to it.

I like the idea of the capture points.

I think there should be a light only recon objective too.

Something That requires ECM and the 'Attackers' not to be spotted at all.

Maybe they have to TAG 1-10 Locations

RECON TEAM - 2 mechs
SECURITY TEAM - 4 Mechs

OBJECTIVE
RECON - TAG 1-10 Locations throughout the Map for post recon bombardment.
SECURITY - Hunt and Kill recon teambefore they TAG 10 Locations.

CW reward -
1-3 TAGGED structures = 5(10) BONUS tonnes for Attacking combat drops
4-7 Tagged Structures = 10(20) BONUS tonnes for Attacking combat drops
8-10 Tagged Structures = 15(30) Bonus tonnes for Attacking combat drops

This would counter the partisan/garrison mode ... so in theory ... the defenders should be raiding supply lines while the attackers re reconing enemy defences.
