Is there a way to system test my machine for compatibility with CryEngine 3? I finally got my new PC all set up and I just want to make sure before the return windows run out that I spent my money wisely ^_^

according to systemrequirementslab.com I am good to run nexuiz which as far as I know is the only game out there on cry engine 3.

Crysis 2 is also CryEngine 3 powered. If your PC can run that well, it'll probably run MWO well also.
Alternatively, if you would like to post up your system specs here we'll have a good idea of what you have & how it will perform. ^_^

Assuming you're going in on the founders injection date, I would have waited till then if you just wanted to update for this game, for example the GTX600 series cards may come down in price and you might save some money, but this is totally dependant on what sort of hardware your buying in the first place.

If your not going in with the founders, take it back because we know its coming out in the 4Q of 2012, so its even longer and we may even see some new Video cards SSD drivers etc out.

But thats just my 2c.

Thanks for crysis 2 answer.

Not sure what other poster was talking about. I'm in for aug 7. I already spent $300 to get into this game. I'm glad pgi isn't asking for more, at least not now.

I was assuming that you didn't buy the founders pack because it doesn't show on your profile.....

In short i was saying, if you only going to upgrade for this game wait till later and the prices on hardware may have come down a bit, eg 300 on a pc now might cost 50 less in a month or a more bang for you buck video card.

Malux you and I are not on the same page man. Come back to this post in a month and show me how much prices have moved because I am not believing it man.

Since i prefere nVidia and the 680 is faster than the ati cards, i'd definetly go for that.

Check out my benchmarking thread in the Hardware off topic thread for my experince with the SDK.
Don't be surprised if your thread ends up in the software forum too.

Nexuiz and Crysis 2 are both good examples, thankfully however the newer engine is more optimized than the original cry engine (go play the MW:LL mod for Crysis Wars, that will give your machine a beating).

Honestly, just wait till you get access to the game before deciding to upgrade, at the very least you will be able to play on the lower-settings until you do so (which given the nature of the engine should still look rather pretty).

I have an HD Radeon 6870 with 1440x900 resolution so I should have a good FPS with good close to max settings.
