one of the big factors I recall from playing TT (and indeed MW4 incorporated this at higher difficulty levels) was that upon taking damage the mech was rendered unstable, and the more damage the more pronounced the effect.
This would be an interesting factor given high-alpha projectile weapons had the added bonus of being able to knock a mech off of its feet with a successful hit.

I think this is known to be implemented in the game. I could be wrong, though.

id like stuff like this in mwo.
i'm pretty sure they said that heat sinks will be destroyed along with the parts of the mech you placed them in. so your heat efficiency gets blasted too.

Large bore weapons like the AC/20, guass, and PPC will be able to cause knock down, but you have to stagger the guy first. Staggering would require your lance mate to hit him with one of the afore mentioned guns BEFORE you pound him with it.

In the video we should not talk about we can see a light mech get knocked down after receiving a huge blast.
