was a stronger amount of modulation in the sound, sounds like an actual particle beam..
Honestly.. the game needs an overhaul in the sounds, and the music. I actually turned the music off because I got so fed up of it...

The sounds can use a lot of work in this game, sadly I doubt they are high on the priority list considering how many other problems it has.

I would love the old sounds back, they sounded sooo much better especially the ac's. The old ac/20 boom of doom was the best.
Everything we have now sounds flat or just like metal hitting metal nothing very cannon like, the only one that I don't mind at the moment is the uac/5.

I miss alot of the old. Sounds, proper ground physics. When PGI decided to reduce graphic fidelity way back then and decided thru weapon balance to accelerate how long battles lasted that was it for me. No more big mech feel.

The old AC sounds were ten times better. The old AC2 sound in particular was so satisfying.
The new AC2 effect sounds like a wrench inside a tumble dryer.

It was strange for me to come back after not playing the game for a very long time (i quit when they announced they'll be adding consumables, more specifically Coolant flush and i ******* refuse to call it "Coolshot") and seeing so much lost.
From the dynamic feet and legs conforming to the terrain, working Jump Jets, better sounds, better visuals, including more dynamic visual damage model and heck, even better performance, to what we have now.
It's really sad that the game seems more like an early beta than the early beta did.
