aiming for my left torso when I'm in a 4g hunchback is disturbing.... I have an AC20, so it should be common sense that im not mounting XL. What do they hope to accomplish? Take off my medium laser LoL? Its not just a rare occurence, it seems to happen at least once every 2-3 games. I have no idea why people do it... but I'll gladly repay them with a volley of Quirkened ac20's.

You would be surprised at how many XL's are out there.

You can't fit an XL and an AC20 on that mech, it's physically impossible.

"Left" and "right" are more complex concepts for some people than you might imagine.

I mean, looking at that HBK in the 'mechlab, the Big 'Ol Gun is clearly on the left side!

60% damage reduction, AKA 40% damage to the CT.

As I said, I take what I can get and if he turns I try to aim for his CT even from the side. Some damage is better than no damage.

Peeks over a hill at Forest Colony for 1 second, with my 4G. Right torso insta-red. Elo, why you so high?

I'm pilotting my 6R next time. At least I'll get some distance.

On the contrary, the left torso is a very effective way of gibbing AC20 hunchies- especially on hot maps. The AC20 isn't exactly heat neutral, and I trust that many people keep their heatsinks in the more squishy left torso. You can serious put a huge handicap on the AC20 firing rate, and on tourmaline, render even 2 medium lasers unsustainable when used in conjunction with the AC20. This, combined with the tendency for hunchback pilots to shield with their left instinctively, practically yields a free give your target a bad day card to the enemy combatant. I frequently find myself twisting to shield with my right against low damage attacks, knowing my hunch's increased armor is more suitable to taking the hit.

It's actually been increased; 60% and 80% rather than 50% and 75%.

Certain Clam mechs make good use of it.

Wait... people don't shoot CT on hunchy? That RT takes more damage to knock out than CT.

Sadly, its difficult for me to aim for specifics due to damaged eyesight. But I promise I'm not aiming for your left torso on purpose!

Protip: we keep the extras in the right arm if we have them. Often times, we just use a Std 250 for 10 TruDubs though.

I just assume that they get their left and right confused when looking at the mech icon in the top right

Well I would much rather press R to get targeting info and decide where on the mech to place my shots so they are most effective but to each their own I guess.
