I know there was a big Hero Mech sale this past weekend. I did not get a chance to get in on it.

For future referance:

Do you get a Mech bay with the purchase of a Hero or Champion Mech or do you only get those trhown in when you buy a Mastery bundle?

Are upcoming sales/events posted someplace or just wait and see come Friday?

Thanks.

No, you must have a mechbay open when purchasing a hero or champion outside of a pack.

And always wait for a weekend to buy a mech. Never buy mid-week.

You either need to buy a mech bay, or earn one from achievements or Faction Warfare. Or if you buy special mech packages at the PGI store, those mechs all come with their own mech bays, so you dont need to buy them ahead of time.
Mastery Bundles do come with a hero mech (or for the dragon package, 2) and 2 different variants (1 champion, and 1 standard chassis or just 2 standard chassis depending on the package) and outside of sales, are the more 'fiscally' responsible way to get mechs, particularly hero mechs. and bundle mechs come with mechbays, so you dont need to worry about pre-purchasing mech bays if you are going to buy a bundle.

Otherwise, yeah, check every friday to see if a sale or special event is happening.

Thank you.

About what I figured the answer would be. Not ready to make a purchase yet, but will wait to see what the "Deal of the Weekend" is when I am ready.

well if you are ever going to throw money at the game, either buy mastery packs (though I wouldnt normally recommend it), or get the Resistance pack (cheapest mech pack in the game). otherwise slowly get mechs with cbills. But if you are particularly feeling like dropping money, the masikari collection gets you 24 mechs, 90 days of premium time and a bunch of other goodies. But you would really have to like this game to get that collection. I wouldnt recommend it unless you planned on getting into this game for the long term.

I really wish they would bring back the phoenix pack. So that IS mech could get some love.
