HELLSLINGER
I've read in these forums that the good ol BLR is a pretty XL capable assault class mech though I have my misgivings, being a smaller barn door than the Awesome. Also the PPC arms, can't say I have a good record of PPC accuracy in my time. The SRMs though make it more appealing to me to brawl hard. I could swap out some parts for a set of triple SRM6 for a good smackdown, or SRM4s for more cooling and bigger lasers. Thoughts?

The Wubsinger is my build on dat awesome mech!
You can run PPC if you prefer, but the LPL is really better in a brawl =)

Why are you posting a hellbringer build on a Hellslinger build post?

DOH!!
I bought the Hellslinger when they went on sale and I have not been able to like it. I'm going to try some of your loadouts and see how they go. So far my LaMalinche is way superior except in paint job...

Ammo placement. Ammo needs to be in difficult to hit locations, or locations that don't take much fire. This usually means ammo goes in the head and legs, then arms, and finally torso locations.
If PPCs don't thrill you, the Hellsinger has some decent generic energy/laser quirks.
My Hellslinger build has worked out just fine for me for a while, and might make for a decent template to work from. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...aa665276a2bdd09
Dropping the Streaks and BAP for 3xSRM4 is definitely an option. Dropping the Command Console and replacing the LPLs with regular Larges (or even ERLLs) would free up enough tonnage to go for a 400XL engine (3 of my BLRs run 400XLs, I've run down mediums and circle-strafed other Assaults).

i highly advise against the command console, the benefits are not worth the tonnage, it's lesser then a targeting computer mk.1 and weighs 3 tons, anything else usually brings more value.

Why would you put the ppc's in his low slung arms over his shoulders (since they are so high up)? Putting them on his shoulders gives you the oppertunity to pop up, shoot, then retreat.

It comes with the PPCs in the arms. Some people think the better lateral field of fire is better than the terrain clearance. Most experienced players disagree.
