But I can't really justify getting one. Takes forever to turn torso with 80 degree/s and 45ton already puts it at **** tier for weapon loading. ):

Looks like some future-police force robot, reminds me a lot of a show I watched as a kid in the early 90s

Space precinct was the name,

If I played IS, and could justify spending money on a hero mech.... St. Ives Blue is pretty high up my list. I dunno why. It's pretty cute/derpy.

It's certainly a beautiful mech.

Would be nice if they'd give it some non-joke tier quirks.

If you wanna buy a medium hero mech,
I suggest buying the Yen-Lo-Wang.

I find it actually pretty agile once you toss in a 250 and elite it. But to pack a decent punch you do tend to run a bit hot.

Same here. I think it looks great, but there's no way I'm buying one when the looks are the only thing it has going for it and I'd also need to buy two more non-heroes to master it.

VND-1R is a fantastic pocket-poptart and the 1AA ia a really sweet fast harasser. Don't knock it till you try it.

Or Sparky, if you like energy boats.

Vindicators are rough until they are Elited.

After? Lots of fun. VERY manueverable and decent firepower for the size. They tank damage far better than Blackjacks due to the low arms.

I run my St Ives with 2 LL and 2 SRM4 . Lots of fun but I enjoy the other 3 as well. 1X would be my second choice.

I enjoy my St Ives. Running LRM 10, Head Medium, and 2 LL. It's decently fast for staying with the group and has all around range. It's not an alpha or specialist which is one reason I think a lot of folks don't like them.

The only real issue I have with the SIB is that it doesn't even get any heat dissipation bonuses. It just gets range and beam duration for lasers and a rate of fire for missiles.

As someone who bought a SIB as soon as it was released and have been playing with it ever since . . . don't get it. The Vindicators are incredibly average 'Mechs that don't excel in anything. Their quirks are nothing special and do nothing to offset the blatant weaknesses of this 'Mech, even after two passes. Apparently these 'Mechs are built to be underwhelming, it must be a feature. Only the 1AA is somewhat useful.
