Ok PGI. I have tried to be reasonable and understanding, but that is coming to an end. I have spent a lot of money to play this game, not play crash every other match!

I have ran your repair tool, changed my settings like you suggested and reinstalled the game. I have disabled VOIP, stopped using TS with my unit, and sent your support a ticket with my dump file a week ago and followed up today. NO response for the ticket and I am still crashing. It is not my computer and it is not my connection, it is your programming.

In a 6 hour period last night I had about a dozen crashes.

In 4 hours this morning, I have had 6 crashes.

I have talked to many others who have the same problems.

Outside of your basic support ticket response of "Your ticket has been received by our support system and is awaiting review by our support staff. Our staff are currently handling a higher number of tickets than average at the moment. We sincerely apologize for any delay this may cause in our response time." I have heard nothing.

Already overa dozen disconnects today. WTF.

I havent thoses issues at all...

But some map of CW crash often like boreal vault .. cry engine error stuff but no disconection at all.

Had constant crashes earlier this week (and actually instability for quite some time) and finally fixed that by:
  • Moving MWO to a SSD, which accelerated patching, repair tool checks and map load times by at least 100%
  • Replacing faulty RAM (ok, I knew my RAM was shaky but I only got around to getting new RAM after Win started BSODing me on startup)
  • Running the repair tool at least 5 times before it finally declared my files all-ok after downloading the huge objects.pak EVERY DAMN TIME.

Anyway, I´m good now and the SSD loadtimes are really nice.

Surprise! More disconnects and deaths today. Hate disconnecting only to come back to see I died.

i started a post about this topic as well. Its months old for me anyway and im a long time fan of mechwarrior and want it to prosper and the way its gowing i dont see how it might reach a league level and would love for it to. So we can put hard time put in this game as to the cometive level it should be and diserves.

did you attach your crash dump file to your support ticket and label it patch #42 crash dump?

while i am very fortunate to not have the crashing issue as A LOT of people are, we have guys in our unit crash on almost every drop.... dont hold your breath for your support tickets anytime soon, I personally had sent in 2 support tickets almost 2 months ago and just the other day got an actual reply to them, absurd.

You should male sure that your computer is clean, as adware and such can cause the game to crash. I've been getting the memory allocation failed popup when I tab out. Though staying in the client and only the client stops it.

I crashed out last night and decided to say screw it and the tournament because i have spent more time repairing then playing any of the last 5. Well just now ran the repair tool and watched it flag all the maps as bad, then download new ones, then delete all the levels.

When will we at least get a repair tool that fixes more then it breaks?

If it makes you feel better, the I had a CTD yesterday that corrupted 2 pak files (objects, sounds). That's almost 2 GB to download in a middle of a weekend tournament.

Thankfully, I have MWO Public test installed so I just copied the files from it.

Same here, many disconnects this weekend. I posted it already but no response. In my omicron file i have constantly error messages about missing fonts. The font that is missing is used in the HUD and UI of MWO. Its called Digital Sans from Elsner + Flake and it is no default windows font. The cryengine uses some sort of flash based engine for UI and HUD, at the beginning of a match this engine tries to load this font and gets error cause the font is missing. Perhaps this is the reasone of many disconnects at the beginning and the end of matches. Here is an example:

Yup, getting crashes on load, crashes on return to mechbay, crashes randomly in mechbay, crashes on waiting screen before match... ..so maybe not just me then? :P

For me the crashes started after getting the newest Nvidia patch. After using the repair tool once that stopped. Reading this I am more than happy with my little time lost.

I crash about once every 4 hours with no warning or reasoning that I can discern, but we have a guy in our unit that literally crashes at the start of every match that's done all the repairs and updates imaginable to the game, o/s and other drivers.

Yep, right there in my post. Sent them the dump file. Sure hope it does not take 2 months.

If it makes you feel any better I'm crashing to desktop about every 3rd or 4th match also. I run two systems, one at home and one at work. The work computer is my older gaming rig, so it's far from cutting edge, but both are running NVidia cards. I wonder if it's a glitch with NVidia's drivers?

I have noticed that I don't get the CTD at work-when it crashes it literally freezes my system, requiring a hard reboot. At least on the home system I just have to rush to reload and rejoin before getting shot in the back.
