Great fighting in the start of the current attack window and the end of the last one.

Steiner troops did won a costly victory on Morningside - and where rolling on to Fatima - fighting a war to the knife.

But only seconds after 30min of an epic sluggfest in the dusty valleys of Fatima - all the sacrifices became nil - somebody declared there is no lane into Wolf Territory - so victorys on Morningside and Fatima were erased.

Well i know beta and so on - but serious you feel bad afterward. But hey would there be any problem to leave planets that see and have seen fighting -alone? Heck Jump Ships can cross 30Ly not only tinny steps over the border
Last not least afaik the last 4 fights on this holy soil didn't count for the pot of gold event either. maybe other reasons

OK - deep strikes would have been indeed a interesting option for CW.
You don't want to have a second front against your foes you have to close the "wormholes"
nothing different from the wormhole closing of the DCMS vs FWLM
