I'm running 4:3 monitors in eyefinity. If I had widescreens, I might consider putting them in portrait mode. That's a personal preference thing though. Just a thought.
Ideally, I would just get two more of whatever you have and are using now. But they are kind of expensive screens.
If cost is your primary factor (as opposed to pure wtfpwnage and maximizing gaming performance), this one looks alright. The specs are mediocre, but it's cheap and it has a nice, narrow black bezel (should be minimally intrusive during play.) What you could do is buy two, see if they match your existing screen well enough, and get a third if they don't. (Or if you decide you want that TV in another room or something.)
Of course, you're going to need a solid GPU to run it. Either an ATI card with three video outs or a 6xx series nVidia card (to support 3D-surround on a single display.) You can google for exact requirements for nVidia.
For that website you linked, any of the ATI cards with >1000 "Cores" should do the job. I would prefer one with 2GB of RAM, like this one.

that should not require and upgrade for the next 3 years

That would work, although one of those cards would be plenty. (You can always add a second later.)
