oh my god I just watched the Grasshopper video...why you gotta pick on the poor summoner?

Could have made it fight a Maddog at least.

Come on cut them some slack, it's certainly better than seeing them shoot targets in training grounds. As if you could judge a mech's effectiveness by watching 1 demo match. Instead, the video just allows to see how the mech handles overall, how it moves and turns and maybe give some indicators to hitbox proportions, although those, too, can only be judged after having played a lot of matches.

Did anyone else notice that in at least 1 of the grasshopper fights, the hopper nearly lost both legs? This thing is gonna be so easy to leg, it makes me sad.

because it doesn't make them look good when they fight blatantly worse mechs. it makes them look like these mechs are horrible or can only beat those mechs.

A mirror match would be better.

They seriously made the damn hopper so big that it got the huge movement type. This is laugh out loud stuff.

I feel like we're being screwed on purpose sometimes.

Am I the only one that was "meh" on the mech fighting part, but scree'd a little on the camo / skin/ paint portion?

YESSS! TO THE PAINT LAB!

At the very least we see now the Grasshopper has some very high torso energy points. At least it has that going for it.

EDIT: Zeus will run hot, but it looks like it will run fairly well enough.

It can't be, they need to be from the other faction. Also 30 tons.

I like having to watch the entire video in heat vision with super mega ultra film grain filter on. Another great video by NGNG showcasing episodes of Ghost Hunters.

Everything in the videos were worth bitching. LPLs in the lower torso mounts? The guy's a rookie.

The poor Summoner build and (intentionally) poor firing/shielding ethos of the opfor only shows up tragic this looks to people that have a clue about the game.

The Grasshopper may as well be good, but faking a competent match is so embarrassing here.

I wonder how many times they have to restart the duels due to GHR dying.

"No no what are you doing? You're supposed to lose in a Summoner!!"

"I know!! But it's kind of hard......Who would've known!?!?"

I have a horrible feeling that there may only be the one hopper variant with the high torso mounts, judging by the video previews.

What I was looking at in the videos was hardpoint placement by seeing where the lasers shoot out from in relation to the cockpit and the spread of dmg between the torsos. From what I could see, it looks decent enough - sort of like a 70t Sparky and the Sparky rocks.

In the end, you can't really judge a mech's performance by these videos where 2 mechs go out into the open in a 1-on-1 and pew pew each other until 1 dies. In real matches, you got teams of 12 people and you have to use tactics and such. It'll also take time to figure out the most optimized builds as well.

We'll see soon how it goes, but the GHP has caught my interest for now.
