The story behind this design (not the fluff, but why I created it), for those interested:

I always liked the Nova, particularly the design behind the E and F variant, it felt more fitting than attempts at laser vomit as far as TT goes. Being a labrat, I sought to improve the design. The first thing I wanted to do was make it more durable, unfortunately, outside the jihad, the only way to do that was a standard engine and make it a poor man's Stooping Hawk. So I chose to go a different direction and use the newer technologies to make it jump further. I ended up using a Partial Wing because for mediums and lights, Partial Wings are amazing. Now because it was still a 5/8 mover, I decided to boost it up to 55 tons, which gave me enough tonnage to try out Ferro Lamellor armor which is amazing since it reduces damage by 20% but because of wonderful rounding, it can actually reduce more than that. So I ended up with a 5/8/7 with the protection rivaling a 65-70 tonner and the firepower of the Nova. All in all I think the end result is a pretty nasty "push" mech.

Then went to this because I love the celestial style:
I didn't like the style though, so I decided to start a new recently and make it look more like the Nova because I like what Alex did with the design quite a bit, even if it isn't perfect.
The reason I'm posting this not done is because I do want some input on the overall design of the mech. It being a "successor" to the Nova, I do want it to reminiscent, but also look different enough to still seem like a new mech not just the Nova II. Now I'm using the legs of MWO's Nova as a placeholder currently as I'm not quite sure on the how I want them to be yet.
Now here is what I have now, hopefully I can get a better picture to show the details I actually have on it so far:

Not bad sir. I like the 3d model a lot so far. One small point is that I think it could use some sort of "toe" on the inside of the legs to stabilize while it takes steps. Otherwise it will have to have beast gyros or sway a lot.
The write up is a bit painful at points.
In any case, I would take it how it is, it looks pretty nice.
On an aside, why did you drop the wings? They seem to be integral in some way. They are even in the write up.

I havn't gotten to them quite yet (figuring out placement and everything), I'll add the placeholders I had back in so you can see it all.
As for the legs and the hip, remember they are just the Nova's from the MWO gamefiles, I plan to change the torso-hip joint as well as the entire lower half at some point.
I will cleanup the style of the spoilers and everything just to make it nicer to read some time soon. As for the fluff though, I wrote that quite a long time ago, Ill probably just dump it so you just get the TRO info since it isn't necessary.
