Sometimes you just feel like shotgunnin' something til' it dies.

I personally love LB's I rarely see them used this day and age, Which of you uses LB's out there? Do you have any mechs in particular that work well with LB's? I found the direwolf works fairly well with them, But i would love to know your opinions on LB's, and what mechs you think are best for them!

Quad barreled shotgun eh?

You can also macro-fire penta CLB5X for that auto-shotty feel.

I saw this build today.

Tell me you were the quadruple LB-X dire wolf that got shot to **** by my entire team while taking something like 50 LRMs a second. It was on the map with a 'saddle' that I can't remember the name of ever.

Edit: Crimson strait! Maybe?

First build I put on my first direwolf. I've added 6 small lasers because even with 202 ammo its only 50 shots.

Nayru I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was me.

He was hanging around in the area that is usually Theta I think? (the cap that's always taken by the team that spawns in the top right due to advantages).

I noticed him, shot a bit at him with AC5/UAC5 combo, and then pretty much the entire team was shooting literally everything his way, catastrophic amounts of LRMs raining down, somehow he managed to take 20-30ish seconds to die.

His team's location was a complete mystery during all of this.

Sounds like a curious case of, we left our assault behind. I'm consistantly a victim of this XD

Yeah but the thing is, the match seemingly hadn't even been going on for more than 90 seconds and somehow he was there and his team was past sight range (800+m?), as if our two teams did the classic yin yang ring around the rosie shenanigans that tend to go on, but he was either afk at the start or went the wrong way.

He seemed a bit jarred to see us. I don't know, it's just.. odd... literally no contacts for a solid minute afterwards.

Went the wrong way...this is starting to sound a lot like me...

I play stoned. I use pot for pain and appetite legitimately. Going the wrong way is easy and getting focus fired for it is the least of my worries. ^_~

Nice vid op! The big payback! ;)

Believe it or not I used to run an LBX 3D it was my change of pace to get off pinpoint for a round or two back in the day.

Terrible weapon lets be honest, but, it's a lot of fun. Shotgun the **** out of people.

I have 2 dire, and one is that 4lbx10, pretty fun.

But my fav will always be the "maximum dakka king" 6ultraac5.

(which El Bandito has a wonderful camo!)

edit: forgot to mention my fav lbx: that quirked cent, of course :)

At least you scared the everloving **** out of one of my unit's lights that had the misfortune of stumbling into your danger zone before anyone even realized you existed.

Think I was half-laughing half-'IT BEGINS', until I saw that loadout and lack of 11 others.

Then it was probably just laughing.

LB-X's really need their MW4-esque damage buff, would do so much to make them potentially viable.

My dire wolf is just the 4x UAC/10, or the 'any non-light in sight for 5+ seconds is dead or mangled' build.

I've really wanted to try this build for a long time (working on Grasshopper and Zeus currently). Honestly, what I'm really looking for is an IS mech to do this one, even if it's a tri-shotgun build. (Thinking of going Illya Muromets for it). Sure it's not quite as effective as other builds, but it's not about effectiveness.

It's about cathartic satisfaction.

Cent-D just got a -10% LBX spread quirk.

It's still far from pinpoint, but you can put all the pellets on the CT of an Awesome @ 150 meters.

CN9-D LBX10 2xSRM4 2xML. This mech can pump out insane amounts of damage, up to a 1000 per match. It's a great change of pace if you're tired of pinpoint - alpha strike gameplay. Perfect for hard pushes against snipers and laser-vomits.

That was me I am pretty sure. I was goofing with a four LBX10 dire for a week or so. It really is a fun build but not very effective. You either get the jump or get jumped.

That Jenner going up was so satisfying, heh.

I love LBX'es. I loved them in MW4, they just aren't really optimal in MWO. Fun in pugs though.

I too have a 6uac5 direwolf, sooo much dakka! Initially I thought the build would be inferior to the 6uac2 version of it, but surprisingly its not! In terms of dakka ofcourse :P
