So I fired up the patcher as usual, however today it seems to just randomly close after some time, without any error messages.

-Tried using the settings mentioned by Alexander Garden (http://mwomercs.com/...patcher-issues/), with no visible effect.
-Tried patching through the repair tool, but it just gives me the "Repair tool has stopped working" error after a while (as it has been doing for as long as I remember, but it was worth a try).

Any way to get it running again?

Also, trying a fresh install. Removed any leftovers with C-Cleaner and downloaded a fresh installer, same issue. And a lot more patching to do

EDIT: Just noticed that it's getting the "Downloading install base thing". Well, atleast I'm not the only one getting that. Fix mentioned by Alexander didn't fix it.

...Not even sure why I keep writing. Nobody seems to be reading this post anyway. I know I wouldn't if I'd see it pop up.

Have you tried the possible fix mentioned here: http://mwomercs.com/...patcher-issues/ ? Maybe you'll have more luck than me

for whatever it's worth ... USA East Coast connection here, near Washington DC, having the same problem at right now as everyone else here is saying.

Patcher says it's going to be 6 hours for the download, and going up.

I've done the possible 'fixes' though none of those, save for flushing dns, would ever likely solve this if you've been patching fine leading up to this.

Same issue. Gets more than 2 thirds the way crashes. Flushed my DNS, still same issue. Help please, would love to play my Zeus and Grasshopper, and of course Lucky Charms.

BTW, I also use Admin Mode.

Same here. Can download from any of my servers at work at 10+MB/s. All internet download sites are showing the same. Nothing going on in the background, Just download at 580 MB ISO in about 3 minutes. Patcher? less than 1 MB/min. So right now it's over 7 hours for 362.83MB, this is pretty sad.

EDIT: OK, interesting. It seems that I was being directed to a distribution point that was having massive issues and was no where near local to me. I'm East Coast US.

2nd EDIT: Spoke too soon as the download speed has slowly been dropping from an OK 9-10 MB/min to back to less than 2-3MB/min and falling. Considerably disappointed in these issues.

3rd Edit: PGI, you have some serious issues with your distribution points. Every time I flush my DNS, I connect to a DP that gets pretty decent download speed (35 MB/min) and then after about 4 minutes, performance slowly falls to less over the next 10 minutes or so to less than 1 MB/min. So I have been doing cycles of download, stop the download, flush DNS, restart the download, lather, rinse, repeat. I have ZERO issues downloading in excess of 100+ MB/min from various locations around the world. (I have access to servers around the world).

Anyone else getting a 7gig download? This is a tad ridiculous.

Some feedback from someone on board the MechWarrior team would be great.

I've actually managed to get as far as all 6.5gb downloaded and now the patcher just crashes continuously on me.

Problems with games are rarely an issue experienced gamers cannot deal with.
However the lack of communication is maddening and often sends loyal gamers elsewhere.
