The AC10 and AC20 looks ok on the CTF. The gauss rifle is comically short, the UAC5 is too short, The AC2 and AC5 look like pea shooters.
I was really looking forward to seeing what they would do to the CTF-4X, and now it looks like it's fused together from spare parts. I guess I should have learned my lesson from the CPLT and been more skeptical. I should have appreciated the time before dynamic geometry, instead of looking forward to the changes. Oh well.

I actually lol'd as I made it, which was a bit embarassing. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

April 1st, they'll reveal the *actual* geometry fixes for MWO and we'll all have a good laugh about this.
Right?

That's the part I can agree with.
They made the right arm look terrible, and they totally bOrKed my "tiger" camo.
Just like they ****ed up the tiger camo on my Centurions.
They should just roll back the changes.
Then again, they should have rolled back the changes after they bOrked the missile box geometry on the Catapults.
PGI really screwed that up, and all it would take to fix it was "Undo". And they didn't.
I was ready to believe IGP talked them into that, but then we got the Jagermech and Cataphract changes today.
Wasn't the Jagermech the FIRST mech to get dynamic weapon geometry? Why did they screw with it???
They "fixed" what wasn't broken, and left stuff broken that should have been easy to fix.
So, should we expect more of these "fixes" from the art team?

That looks like my Jester. I guess nobody would be surprised that it's got quite the coat of dust on it now.
Maybe if I pack all the dust onto the arms, it'll look sorta-kinda like it used to. With the minor downside of setting itself on fire when it shoots.

Yeah, I was really surprised they messed with the Jager, because that mech actually looked great before. The AC20 barrels, the UAC5 barrels, the gauss barrels, everything was perfect on that mech before, except the energy hardpoints. But instead of focusing on energy hardpoints, they ruined the ballistics.
As for rolling back the changes... that would be a big let-down for me as well. I just refuse to believe this is so difficult. Just look at Alex Iglesias concept art and use the dimensions from those. He's clearly the one guy at PGI with a great sense of aesthetics, so they should go by his work instead of trying to let programmers decide what looks good.

Though not a fan of the tiny PPCs.
Each to their own. I'm kind of surprised they decided not to allow LRM15's or LRM20's on the CTF-2X arm, but then gave the Zeus an LRM-launcher that looks like it's been stung by a swarm of bees.

I'll still be laughing when I attend your funeral.
This is best thread I've seen in months. The build up was amazing and the actual content did not dissapoint.

Me too. The moment I saw how it looked when I equipped 3xLRM15 on it, I said, "Cooooool."
I like that it looks like the Megaman blaster gun. It sort of functions that way if you put 3xSRM6+A on it as well.

Well, that's better than I expected. I don't think they acknowledged the Catapult criticism until the most recent Town Hall, so I wasn't expecting them to acknowledge this until at least 2017.
