I understand that the design team wants to modularize modal designs into generic patterns, and even from a law-themed manufacturing point of view, standardized sizes for equipment makes sense (since they are designed to be retrofitted to different chassis's)... however, my jagermech is very unhappy that it has lost a substantial amount of it's manhood

I would argue that even from a mass-manufacturing-standardized-design-pattern... point of view... The larger guns on the jagermech would make sense by their quirks. i.e. longer gun barrels to reflect "range"/"accuracy"/"ROF"/"cycle time" quirks for mech (just say that "barrel extensions"/"rifling"/"upgraded gun motors" were provided as part of the purchase of the chassis to give them their quirks).
What do you think PGI. Can my jagermech have it's manhood back
