So I am looking at wave three with a very bad hole burning in my pocket. I am trying to hold out for as long as possible (I didn't need the unique variants so I would be fine with 3 of each!). Granted I don't have enough to carelessly throw my money for sake of it. The idea was just originally get the Shadowcat package or a la cart it (though for what $5 more get 3 more mechs? why not)... But trying to decide what the other packages would be worth and if it would just be better to get them...Convince me spending the $30 to 60$ extra is worth it on the Cauldron born and Executioner...I usually run my Timber wolfs in balanced load-outs and/or a Maddog (either SRM boat or LRM boat). So please I need help trying to be convinced besides the awesome art. Maybe more screenshots/gameplay. What would these mechs role mainly be brawler and/or sniper. Also guess how do they fit with the lore of Ghost bear and of them really liked by Ghost Bear a lot?

Executioner is the middle ground between the Paperhawk and Moby ****.

Hard to say w/o the mechs really being available to play. As per usual, 1/4 to 3/4 of the mechs will be meh. Maybe this is the one thats pure win. idunno.

It looks like the Arctic Cheetah and the Ebon Jaguar will be very solid mechs. The Shadow Cat should also be pretty good, as it has ECM and high hardpoints.

Executioner might just be meh, or it could be a super tank jumping machine of destruction. But judging by the HGN, its jump jets are likely going to be SUPER hot, so factor in a lot of bonus heatsinks...

Cheetah: Probably best Clan light by a good margin, very possible competitor to the Firestarter.

Shadow Cat: Fun troll sniper with ECM support, or you can make a Clan Arrow using 6 MGs and 2 energy of your choice.

Cauldron Born: Basically a 65 ton Mad Cat but without JJs. Higher weapon mounts though.

Gladiator: Seems decent but not spectacular. A viable gundam unless they mess it up.

Cauldron Born is only 65 tons? That is actually awesome! Since my current drop deck is 5 tons short!

Right here is the answer.
To add on though:

Arctic Cheetah: Best light possible in the game. No question. Only a tad bit slower than the IS lights (and not to a RVN-2X which is quite good). Mist Lynx will practically be gone by the release of the Cheeter.
Shadow Cat: Depends on MASC. It has high mounted points and I think will somewhat vanquish the Ice Ferret. MASC will allow up to 140+ kph iirc.
Cauldron Born: This might have the most pod space, more than even the Timber god. Has potential to remove both the Hellbringer and Timber Wolf through sheer power, plus high high high mounted points.
Gladiator: Again depends on MASC. Heard it can go to 86kph give take but other reports say 96kph. If 96kph then for sure it'll be useful as a fast raider. This might remove the Gargoyle from gameplay most of the time (again depends on MASC). Also depends on how big it's movement archetype will be (huge? large?).

What is wave 3 worth? After the Resistance Pack, I would say it is...questionable. If you pilot Clan mechs in CW a lot, go for it.

Personally, I have not driven my Clan mechs much lately, and find CW boring when none of my efforts even matter to my own Clan. As a result, I may go for a refund on my Wave 3 purchase, given the low quality of the Resistance Pack, and just wait to see them in-game first.

So the general consensus is the Cheetah is the gem here followed by the Cauldron Born and/or Shadowcat still not sure which of these will be better though, I think most are thinking the CB.

What i think is:
Cheetah: ECM+JJs+Velocity+High mounted?? How can it be bad?! It should be awesome!

Shadow Cat: ECM+JJs+MASC(=Velocity, probably)+High mounted?? If it wasn't for it's low pod space, it would amazing! But it'll be at least good.

Cauldron Born: High mounted weapons and a lot of free pod space... hm... It has a lot of potential to be next to the TimberGod and Hellbringer.

Gladiator: Not so much pod space, low velocity (if MASC give velocity, it should be like Gargoyle), JJs (a good point) but it seems a giant mech. I would regret buying this one (like Gargoyle).

HGN isn't where it needs to be, but I was really surprised at just how much of an improvement there was from the movement quirks it got.

It's definitely a step in the right direction for that mech, if they can figure out a way to make JJs not be the sad mess that they are while also not turning the game into a completely jump sniping dominated meta - the HGN would be a good mech again.

So if they can do that for the HGN, I have hope for the Executioner.

@OP: It's hard to give you advice, I'm really surprised you want to buy the pack but did not want to get the very large extra value of the bonus variants which reduces the overall cost per mech regardless of the package you'd have chosen.
