Wow, complaining about getting COCKPIT ITEMS.

All i get is Flamers, Heatsinks and C-bills.

So far I got one flamer, some cockpit items I'm never going to use, a few hundred MC, a million or so cbills and a few hundred GXP.

If your only motivation to play is to get free rewards and you don't think the rewards are good enough then just don't play.

Currently I'm very casual player, cuz this game is in terrible state, so I simply don't have enough mental health to play more, then 2-3 matches in a row. But when some contest is available, I concentrate my efforts and try to complete it in order to get some rewards, that may compensate my negative gaming experience (for example CB and XP rewards are currently overnerfed, so only contests allow you to get fair rewards/effort ratio). And we should not be naive, let's face it: that's what developers actually want us to do and that's the intention of every contest - to increase players' activity in the game. But this deal should be fair. If I'm doing this contest - I'm expecting to get useful rewards as the result. If I'm putting my effort into this game, but getting nothing as the reward - then it's simply fraud.

You may say: don't like rewards - don't do it. But the problem is in RNG nature of rewards. You play, cuz you have a chance to get reward, but reward system simply fools you. It's like electronic slot machine with roguish program: all it's purpose is to empty your pockets.

I feel similarly about the state of the game actually, and like you most of my playtime is now only when events are happening if I even bother, but as long as the event criteria doesn't ruin the quality of matches, which it doesn't here, then I'm generally not complaining about events where I get free stuff. Personally I'm not super motivated at the moment to play through the event myself because the rewards are not super amazing to me when I don't feel like I have much to go towards due to hating the absolutely atrocious & boring mech tree grinding in this game; the chance of some free premium time on top of other stuff is a decent motivator though so I might end up playing at some point.

I guess my point is that since the event is simply giving you free stuff for playing matches while not performing like crap, which couldn't really be much easier to qualify for, it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to complain that the event isn't rewarding enough when the real issue seems to be the game isn't fun enough to play despite those events encouraging you to do so. I'm not saying you shouldn't complain about stuff if you feel like it because that would be extremely hypocritical, but you don't necessarily need to complain about the rewards in this case either; just stop playing if you don't find it worthwhile and if PGI has any data collection worth a damn they'll wonder "gee, I wonder why this person barely played any matches during this cool event."

I was hoping for the lumen glass and green lights. I got 3 clovers instead :(

I got one of each 3 -- whoot. :D

edited to add: OP is being completely ridiculous. If you think getting the rewards are bad .. dont play and you wont get things you dont want. Return to play when the event is over ... or maybe stop being such a over entitled baby.

The point of the event isn't just to get people to play more. It's also, for example, to give out free consumables to the people who never use them, so they have the option to try them out for free. And to potentially realize how much it increases their chance to win, and how much extra income it generates. Or how few "this match does not qualify" matches you get when using them.

Almost all of the prizes are hooks. You're given a little bit of MC so that you either get accustomed to buying stuff with it, or want to purchase more with real money to buy something bigger. Cockpit items are given away so that when people go to the cockpit menu to equip the item they got, they notice all the other stuff they could have in their cockpits, and probably someone buys something. You get GXP so that you realize how handy it's to have for leveling up stuff, so maybe you'll use MC to convert some more GXP. Etc.

This is basic "in-app-purchase" marketing, done quite positively, in my opinion.

I hope this helps you understand why you can't just get everything in C-Bills instead, it just wouldn't achieve the marketing targets for the event.
