In my web Profile? I almost clicked it, why is this here if I do not have the game open? Why would anyone activate premium time from their profile? It's bad enough that is real time based and not play time based. I do not think this is a customer friendly option. Stop it PGI

So you think its a good thing to activate real money premium time when you are not playing the game? It's a running clock why would you start it from anywhere other than the game itself? I dont think thats an overreaction at all, overreaction would be paying for content months in advance before you have any idea how it will play in game.\

Via website you can activate in 30day chunks. IIRC when you activate in client it's everything. Also it's a small button, that says exactly what it does, and I believe there's a confirmation dialog.

Or in other words, if you did this on accident, you need to re-evaluate your computer usage skills.

Oh, and I believie it starts the clock when you next log into the client.

Wh-what?
1st-- I never said it wasn't of concern, but it isn't so dire. You don't press a button and flooooosh, your premium time is wasted. You can still use it, obviously. Though this button should have a "are you sure," I'm sure its there for a reason (adding your banked time while you still have time).

Second, paying for content in advance isn't an overreaction in any sense of the word.
Like, at all. Your statement is irrelevant, and incorrect at that.

Irrelevant would be your opinion, incorrect also, in other words anyone who questions the profile options should just ********** because why? you said so?I can appreciate One Medic Army's answer which explains and is not rude. Your's seems out of line and not answering or helping at all. Like a troll

Not to call out Medic, but I'm rude?

Alright mate.
My opinion is irrelevant, okay, that's cool-- not like this is free game for anyone who plays consistently and uses premium time.
(I do).
My opinion is incorrect?
What?

You're getting really upset over something very tiny, and my pointing that out. To top it off, you include a random mention to mech packs, a la strawman.

Note how I never said your opinion is incorrect, merely your word usage. Now, normally I'm pretty good with semantics, but seriously, no amount of connotation and save you on "overreaction."

Please don't take this so personally. Chill out.

I am not taking it personally, I have been in my profile and it wasnt there, and now it is, I'm just wondering if you go from post to post sheriff, do you make sure everyone posts by your rules and thinks about everything like you? I have been playing a long time which had you been to my profile you would have seen, free, yes but also paid. It's ok though, I understand you are just getting your forum rolls going.

It has been there for a while and was mentioned by PGI a while ago.

I didn't realize I created the rules for intelligent conversation and not haphazard ranting.

Uhhh...if you were to accidentally click on Activate Premium Time you would also have to accidentally click "Yes" on the following confirmation dialogue box. If someone manages to do both of those things "accidentally" then I honestly don't believe they have any right to complain since it would be their own stupidity that put them in that situation.

Good news! It asks you to confirm your choice before activating the time.

True on both counts. If you activate in game it will activate all your time with out any stop. The link on the forum profile specifically says 'Activate 30 Days of Premium Time'. So it's no mystery what it does.

They need to let us activate it in 3 day chunks.

30 day prime time is only nice if you recently got fired. because who the hell is going to be playing all that time when you can't be? it's wasted by design and that needs to be fixed if they ever want to see it being used and bought in large amounts.

I call it as I see it. They made it very, very hard to accidentally activate via the website.

Nice as that would be, 30day chunks is actually much better than other F2P games I've dealt with. There your premium starts running when you log in, there is no banking. I've currently got a full year of premium running in another game, simply because only at 1year at 50% off is it finally cheaper than buying daily when you feel like playing.
