I don't use Twitter since they started broadcasting things I didn't want to follow, and my question really needs a bit more text than 256 characters at a time. I suspect there will be another town hall SOME time in the future, and I can easily wait until then to have this addressed, but I do have this question:

Dear Russ, with MWO being released on steam, will there be any consideration for using the community market installed in steam to exchange some if not all player inventories?

I ask this for a number of thoughts:

- A strong reason for team fortress 2's longevity [in my opinion] has been the ability for players to trade items among themselves. It's a social trait in humans to exchange and gift, and while you might not think of 'human bonding' as a game concept, it really does inspire players to play if they are playing with their friends (or showing off to the same)

- Currently nothing in MWO can be traded between players, and one of the reasons for this being security issues. It is taxing to monitor account theft, and being able to launder the items of a stolen account would exasperate attempts to police this.

- I am no expert. I do not know the terms of service between Steam and PGI, nor SHOULD I for reasons, I simply know the client end of the business: MWO and steam store, which is why I ask. Does Steam's Community Market make it easier on PGI to allow this trade, enough so that PGI would reconsider allowing it?

I do not mean to be condescending to PGI, I simply wonder if this thought has passed their mind, maybe for a 2018 kind of feature.

EDIT: edited for spelling

IMO steam trading cards accomplishes this without pulling in hackers all over trying to steal and sell stuff. I assume they'll have cards eventually maybe
