In world of warships they have a conquest game mode. Usually it is 3 cap points. First team to acquire 1000 points wins, or wipes out the enemy fleet.

What is different is that kills are also worth points. Your team gains points for a kill, and the enemy team loses points for their loss.

A combination of capture points and kills wins you the game.

That could work here to spice up Conquest, in particular if you then allow re-spawns. You won't endlessly kamikaze run into the enemy if your death makes it more likely your team loses even if you have unlimited lives.

This may not work on the current game modes but its an excellent idea for changes to current game modes or future game modes.

The system is no different from War Thunder's Domination modes. This feature is also found among the Call of Duty series. The origin of this feature might even go earlier.

Unlike MWO's five point Conquest Mode, Domination mode requires that the cap points must be equidistant from the two opposing spawns.

Skirmish = Skirmish
Assault = Skirmish with people knowing where to go.
Conquest with this idea = Skirmish with a timer.

Its different from Skirmish and Assault, because you got neutral capping objectives set equidistant from two team's spawn. The other two modes assume a cap objective that are owned by the team, an A or B across opposite sides, or asymmetrically where one side owns the cap point and must defend, the other owns no cap point and must attack.

In Domination, the timer only begins when someone is sitting on the cap, which transfers ownership of the cap point to that team, and the points go to that team.

In essence its like the MWO Conquest mode but Conquest mode suffers from fatal flaws, which is why I have it checked removed from my play list.

The points in Conquest Mode is not equidistant. Its not really map balanced.

Domination modes usually have their points easily accessible. They are not supposed to be scattered inconveniently across the map.

There are 5 conquest points. That is far too many. Domination modes begins with one, two or three points, and can vary among the number. Its not fixed. The same map might have one point, then three points in the same game, then two points in the next game. That adds for variety.
