I'm just spit balling here, again.
this crossed my mind the other day, we should be able to hire or purchase vehicles to fight along side or support the mech lances. I think mercenary units should be able to deploy something like an armored company to support the mech lances. these vehicle units could also be something like a group of recon cars all the way to a trio of demolisher tanks.
I believe depending on the map vehicles could be deployed quite effectively against mechs, for example using demolisher tanks in a urban environment.
These support vehicle do not have to controlled by a player, they could simply be operated by friendly AI.

I second that, them tanks with 3 ER PPC's are pretty nice, maybe bulldogs and all the rest of that cool **** as well. LRM carriers are tactically useful glass cannons as well. Maybe even the capacity for player controlled support vehicles? Harassing some advancing forces in a harasser would be good, cheap, (suicidal) fun!

There's no PvE planned at launch (*ie no tanks with guns). Support vehicles such as command, coolant, repair, or ammo trucks might work though..
It would be need if you could pay for an off board artillery piece that let your scouts call in long tom shots (with a hefty reload time)
