Now that the ghost heat is gone on these weapon systems, how about some Cooldown Modules for them? I don't see a reason why not.

It's the least they could do, seeing how nearly everything else gets to fire 12% faster than their usual rate. It's only fair that class 2 ACs should get to as well.

Oh the wails of indignation would be deafening...

Would be delicious area denial weapons! :P

Funny thing, was thinking the same thing yesterday.

Dunno the reason for them not to have the upgrade. Especially that competitives will tell you they're totally useless weapons.

How about a little less base heat on them so that they're not 200% hotter than an ac-5 with less dps first?

B-b-b-b-but Mister D, the only AC that is allowed to have different heat per shot than its Tabletop value is the AC/20*!

*AC/20 was originally 7 per shot, right now it's 6.

At this point, larger weapons getting heat reduction is the norm, and smaller weapons get heat increases.

Feels like a theme continuing here.

Nah. PGI hates the AC2. I guess it's a Tier 5 ballistic weapon. I.e. not meant to be a viable choice for serious players. They had to nerf the AC2 into oblivion because the screenshake was so annoying. And then they introduced the... CUAC2. Huh.

If we're lucky, the AC2 will have some use in PVE, along with the MG and flamer.

If they can tweak IS lasers heat base from TT, tweak clan lasers from original values, they can certainly adjust the AC-2 to reasonably useful heat levels as well.

Maybe the SRM2 as well?

And LBX?

That reminds me, there is still a ghost heat penalty for all SRM2s currently, which seems a bit outdated considering the days of the streakapult are long behind us.

And that the Streakapult never even used the regular SRM2 in the first place...

When I started playing the AC/2 had a heat of .5 per shot, then it got nerfed to .6 then to 1.
