I did a search and found nothing on this, but does anyone know if there's a simulator in the game for pilot training? It would be nice if you could set up some opposing mechs and practice with your clannies.

Pretty much an identical thread on the same page right now - talking about a test room/area.

why there is the need for this? you get better with every game you play. it is like in real life. you learn by your mistakes.

Sometimes you want to test things outside normal battle - explore maps, check for armor weakspots, effective ranges, practice controls, etc. without people running away or shooting back at you and (preferably) without spending (and earning) C-bills.

Lets you hash out formations and groupings with out a jenner trying to ram you.
I also wouldn't mind seeing some sort of virtual arena thing where you can respawn if you die. No risk, no reward though, so while your mech isn't getting damaged, it's mostly so you can learn the ropes of your current ride's configuration in a live fire senerio.
