Is that why we are fighting in the Viridian Bog? Resource gathering? That is some amazing wood, and to think it grew naturally!

Viridian Wood > lasers > lava

What IS this stuff?!

So can we start making indestructible mechs or turrents out of this? Or can we not make this stuff indestructible? It is silly...

Yup, would be great. I don't care if it means stuff goes "poof" magic-fairy-dust style like in MW4 until PGI has the time/resources to fully spend on it - some kind of stopgap solution so we can have destructible terrain would go a long way.

Cryengine can't handle destructible terrain, just like how it can't speed higher than 170kph TM

It can handle destructible terrain just fine. It is just costly in server performance and network traffic and will result in reduced quality of gameplay. It might also have a hefty impact on client performance.

Everything that goes beyond cosmetical changes is, for that reason, a no-go. Removable terrain is beyond that, so my vote has to go to "no".

You can't. You'll need to find something to cut the wood to craft something with it... Nothing can cut Viridian's Wood. Not even 100T of metal going 60kph. Not even fast-as-light projectiles. Even a Light Saber would fail. We should just hope those woods never leave this planet or they'll entangle the whole universe in their indestructible roots!!!!

TT Battletech has destructible forests that catch fire when fired upon. This in turn heats up the surrounding temperature to the point that it adds considerable heat to a mech. It would be fun to see that implemented, but until PGI can work out the current bugs that cause CTDs and disconnects, I would put this as a low priority.
