Hey, remember this?



Was thinking of remaking it, since we ALMOST have all the mechs, save the Firefly.

Anyone up to this? :D

I find the voices in this version much more serious, appropriate for the mood.
The commander sounds much more experienced, etc.
Also, the text is a little different

The fireflies could be easily substituted by something else.
OR PGI "just" has to make them :D
The question is more: do we have a fitting terrain? And what about all the infantry and vehicles? Kinda kills the dramaturgy if you don't have ground forces getting slaughtered to buy the mechs time

Well, that intro is the intro found in magazines before the he actually came out, thus, it is a premier trailer for the game.

For the tanks we can sub for urbanmechs.

For the infantry... idk.

For terrain... still working on that.

Why not the MW2 intro or the Mechcommander intro.. ithink we have all the mechs needed to remake those

I like how you actually get a sense of how big the mechs are, especially when the Summoner steps on that one dude. I really hope (but kinda doubt) MWO can do something to achieve that sense of scale at some point.

yeah iv seen that i would still like to see it with MWO mechs

You mean like that?


Only problem is it's the wrong map (Canyon Network would be perfect) and some details like focussing the arm is wrong.

To this day I don't think anything has been better than the original MechCommander intro.

Well if you want to do it, I can certainly recommend programs to use for animating or help make poseable figures, but you're gonna have to be patient since I am a college senior who is also looking for work.
