Is it just me, or does CW feel just a little bit meaningless? Take a planet here or there, lose a planet. What does it matter? Where is the goal? Right now you can simply substitute Clan Wolf for "Red team" or Steiner to "Blue team" and it would make no difference.
This is why I think PGI needs a writer that follows what happens in CW like a news reporter and makes up stories of what's going on in the game. This could be further supplemented by holding special "Events" in CW. Also, the announcements page is bland and straightforward. It would be more interesting if PGI could put a narrative spin on it, but maybe I am just spoiled by other MMOs that do it right.
What do you guys think? Does it matter to you?

Good writers are what many games just lack nowadays. Many games like Starcraft 2 and Skyrim would have been so much more fun if the storyline would have had more twists and intriguing turns. Those just only some famous examples though

Agreed, CW partially sells itself on immersion and having lore on each planet and a news report on battles would make big strides in that department.
