There are a lot of features currently missing which would make MWO a true next gen mechwarrior title and really bring us to the next level of immersion.

For starters --

1. More detailed damage system (eg.different types of damage, physics based soft body damage modelling, better damage animations and more variety of damage effects)

2. An immersive, detailed single player campaign (!) with proper cut scenes and epic storyline

3. The addition of playable tanks, helicopters etc

4. More dynamic, interactive HUD displays in cockpits rather than the generic 'Auto-detect' blank screens.

5. Deep, tactical Solaris tournament mode with features like placing Cbill bets on 1 on 1 fights

I would GLADLY shell out for a crowd funding campaign to take MWO to the next level...happy to contribute as much if not more than I have for Star Citizen as this title has given me some of my best gaming memories in the 90s. And it has the potential to be so much more than it is now!

Who's with me??

whahahahahha.....no....maybe if CS would take over MWO then i would support but not with the current developer company.
Or when CS buy's the rights from the current developer company i would invest money in mechwarior.
Because then i know they will make it a game even beter than what we've got now^^

(But that's my personal opinion)

I'd merely like to point out that Star Citizen started crowd funding in 2012, and has since that date, produced virtually nothing of substance.

Not exactly the gold standard...

Also what's wrong with buying MC to throw your support in?

We already crowd funded this game once, now its time to support it to build it up.

Isn't this what we're already doing, by buying mech packs, MC, Premium Time, etc? :P

I can sense the irony here. The stretch goals are so inflated that I wonder if anything will be close to ready before the next decade....
Not that it worries me. If it does come out in time and if playing it is reasonable then I have another game to test out. At the moment the humongous price tags on the more stylish ships are a real turn off.

"Soft body" deformations in Cry Engine? I heavilly doubt on this feature. This engine is not able to be scaled properly to any kind(I mean present) hw rig so it is very, very hefty. First feature what I can see as the solution is completely change the inner game engine because I cannot imagine how mmo features(open planetary worlds, for example these you can choose as your native planet with your own base, mechbays, etc. ...) would be able to be managed in this kind of game engine. :)

But let it go, I agree with crowdfunding. Even I don't hope for any kind of advance in this game with mmo features(it would be excellent!) ...

Crowd funding is "give me money and I MIGHT do something in the future".... sounds like early beta access and founders packs to me. play the game, buy the mechs, get something out of your money and it will do exactly the same thing. More moeny doesnt mean more developers and faster development. if a team gets too big things slow down more.

If they want to make the game bigger, larger (a lot, like BF4) maps with destructable objects and more gearing towards propper use of classes and roles, I might be in.

I doubt this...

You doubt what exactly? That MWO couldn't be any better than it is now? That there aren't a lot of immersive features missing at the moment? Or are you just very easily pleased?

There arent just "a lot" there is a vast list of things that would need to be done and the things you just mentioned, based on pgis work ethic, would take years to complete. While im for all single player mode, I doubt it will be good, or even fun.

Don't really understand or agree with your stance. 'These things would take too long to complete/I'm all for single player but doubt it will be good'.....sooo, your suggestion is PGI just leaves the game in the unfinished state that it is now. Okay then...
