Imo you'll get the most bang for your buck from premium time. Also you mentioned unlocking colors for XP. They do have a few colors available for C-bills but I can't remember which ones.

This game is some what balanced on mastery of mechs. Try playing world of tanks and having as many mastered mechs as you have T10 tanks. Trust me I "earned/grinded" 2 T10 tanks after that I gave up and paid to convert XP and it cost a lot more.
So long story short it could always be worse!

Really? You don't think it would just make people complain that hero's are fully pay-to-win and that XP/the skill unlocks are a punishment for people that don't buy the hero mechs?

This is the MWO forums, people will always complain about something. Other games do this. Ya know what, if it helps grow the game then I am for it. Its not like it gives the player an "edge" to win. Just a cbill and xp boost. Skill unlocks come regardless with any mech, the only difference is time/grind.Other than the steep learning curve of playing in game, the triple grind is a huge turn off for new players. This idea helps curb that and pays to keep the game going. win win.

I look at it this way ... A large scotch is £6 and It takes me ~ 5 mins to consume, 3 large scotches = £18 ... 15-20 mins ...£18 = a med hero bundle .... a bit more than 20 mins fun . . . You spends your cash on stuff you wants ....Simples!

A non-Briton/Scottsman devours his Scotch more slowly, though, and thereby gains more from it. Let's talk in a universal coinage...how about beer? ;)
