Can we please, please, please, for goodness f**king sake stop pressuring PGI to release more mechs. The balance of this game is shot to sh*t enough as it is without people asking for more mechs.

I'd like to see black knight and mauler...

but... what i like more is PGI to take a break from mech packs (aka "give us more money right now") and go back to refining art/animation/hitbox/quirks for the previous packs. (as an example... clan wave 1 pack needs an entire animation overhaul plus other things)

that said how many people do they employ? it seems like a skeleton crew tbh.

I'd like to have just three hours alone in a room that has the server settings for the game.
There are some things I'd change that some won't like, but at this point anything is better than what they've been doing.

That could be a wide range of things... There is so much duct tape and Band-**** all over this game....

The next IS pack:

Javelin - Light missile mech with JJs and 1 energy variant
Vulcan - Energy and ballistics, one variant with MASC
Black Knight - Boring energy boat, has been featured in a poll
Cyclops - Small time Atlas clone with a missile-focused variant, has been featured in a poll

I'd rather they just stopped making Mechs for a bit so they can focus on balance/maps/modes/bugs. We have tons of Mechs already!

Cyclops-dunno if I want a 90ton mech with only 10 tons of armor and a gimped head (egg shell) no matter how much armor you can install.

FYI, the art department, the ones who do the concepts and the 3D modelling and such, are not involved in coding. Unless PGI did a bunch of firing to free up cash, there's no point in not putting out more mechs so they can focus on bugs and such. IIRC, even the map artists are different from the mech artists, so not even that bit works out.

Instead, they might as well release more mechs, especially ones that people want, so that they can then pay their coders and map designers/builders to do their jobs in turn.

Hey, it's only 3053, and that's only full production. I'm sure there were early test runs, field-tested prototypes and such, in 3052. Besides, PGI is willing both to be flexible with the timeline and to provide limited new variants (-P).

why does everyone wants a wolfhound? Yes it's iconic but in the ned you have a slow 35t with 4 E-Hardpoints and 2? variants which are basically the same. If they stick to lore, it wouldn't even get an AMS hardpoint.

Sure you can inflate hardpoints, maybe up to 6 or 7 and spread them, here and there a quirk or so, maybe even a JJ variant. But then?

Isn't there a little missile boat available? something in the lines of an oxide? this would at least bring some variety into the light class.

That is the EXACT reason i want PGI to take a break from mech packs... because the art/animation part for the previous mechs need A LOT of rework. With new mech packs, the art team wont have enough time or resources to go back on an animation/art/hitbox pass.

Well if you use the TRO's it leaves you with a lot of choices in each weight class for more mechs.

Lights- Mercury, Thorn, Mongoose, Hermes, Hussar, Javelin, Flea, Hornet, Firefly, and Wolfhound

Mediums- Assassin, Clint, Hermes II, Sentinel, Vulcan, Whitworth, Wyvern, Crab, Wolf Trap, Hoplite, and Dervish (Hatchetman is also there but no melee so its out :()

Heavies- Champion, Lancelot, Bombardier (poor mans Archer), Exterminator, Guillotine, Black Knight, Caesar, and Flashman. (and again with no melee Axman is out.)

Assaults- Thug, Crockett (or Katana), Cyclops, Charger, Mauler, Hatamoto-chi, Shogun, Annihilator, and Imp

Some might have problems with having enough variants, but with the (P) variants of the resistance pack as a guide PGI can put any of these in.

I'm rather hoping for the Javelin. With it's missile focus, it does stuff few other 'Mechs it's size does, other than the Oxide and the Commando. Should make for an interesting bombing light.
