but... what i like more is PGI to take a break from mech packs (aka "give us more money right now") and go back to refining art/animation/hitbox/quirks for the previous packs. (as an example... clan wave 1 pack needs an entire animation overhaul plus other things)

that said how many people do they employ? it seems like a skeleton crew tbh.

There are some things I'd change that some won't like, but at this point anything is better than what they've been doing.
That could be a wide range of things... There is so much duct tape and Band-**** all over this game....

Instead, they might as well release more mechs, especially ones that people want, so that they can then pay their coders and map designers/builders to do their jobs in turn.

Hey, it's only 3053, and that's only full production. I'm sure there were early test runs, field-tested prototypes and such, in 3052. Besides, PGI is willing both to be flexible with the timeline and to provide limited new variants (-P).

Sure you can inflate hardpoints, maybe up to 6 or 7 and spread them, here and there a quirk or so, maybe even a JJ variant. But then?
Isn't there a little missile boat available? something in the lines of an oxide? this would at least bring some variety into the light class.

That is the EXACT reason i want PGI to take a break from mech packs... because the art/animation part for the previous mechs need A LOT of rework. With new mech packs, the art team wont have enough time or resources to go back on an animation/art/hitbox pass.

Lights- Mercury, Thorn, Mongoose, Hermes, Hussar, Javelin, Flea, Hornet, Firefly, and Wolfhound
Mediums- Assassin, Clint, Hermes II, Sentinel, Vulcan, Whitworth, Wyvern, Crab, Wolf Trap, Hoplite, and Dervish (Hatchetman is also there but no melee so its out

Heavies- Champion, Lancelot, Bombardier (poor mans Archer), Exterminator, Guillotine, Black Knight, Caesar, and Flashman. (and again with no melee Axman is out.)
Assaults- Thug, Crockett (or Katana), Cyclops, Charger, Mauler, Hatamoto-chi, Shogun, Annihilator, and Imp
Some might have problems with having enough variants, but with the (P) variants of the resistance pack as a guide PGI can put any of these in.
