I have not seen another new review from any other major site, as shown here:
http://www.metacriti...hwarrior-online
What can we do to get this game a renewed review so that some of the more newer players that like to research a game before they can play it?

PC Gamer and IGN will sometimes revisit their reviews, but not on any kind of consistent basis.

That is more likely. Up or down, depending on how it's received.

metacritic is the score that shows up when people browse steam games. So if this game ever goes on steam, people are going to see that Mechwarrior Online 68 metacritic score listed next to its name.

If a game looks interesting, I play it. It's that simple.
Sadly, not a lot of game look interesting to me, however.

The only thing that has changed is the graphics have gotten worse.
Maybe when CW is out of beta, or UI 3.0 arrives.

I think you're mostly right. The reviews will probably be similar to the ones MWO got at "launch", because the game hasn't really come that far. I mean, a lot of good stuff has happened, but it still has pretty major weaknesses that haven't changed since 2013. And the things that bothered the reviewers back then will probably bother the reviewers almost as much right now.
CW Beta is still, well, Beta. Most people don't even play. Gameplay balance is better, but it's not really more advanced than it used to be. We got rid of poptarts, but we still don't have role warfare or skill trees with different alternatives. New player experience is probably just as bad as it was in 2013, if not worse, because PGI keeps adding more and more modules to increase the gap between new and veteran players, and the gameplay grows increasingly complex without good tutorials.
MWO has improved, but 2 years have also passed and expectations for newer games are higher. And despite having an older game engine, MWO graphics have actually grown considerably worse, while other old games tend to improve their graphics with time.

I dont care so much about graphics, imo, MWO is just as good as any other game. Outside of it's greyscale and Sepia colored everything...models are great looking, doesnt look that bad.
I would mark it down for dull, boring gameplay. A terrible NPE and an nececesarrily grindy grind to make up for the lacking and boring gameplay...Its like instead of making us actually want to play the game, they simply made it such that if you have any interest in it and want to progress, you will need to devote your life to it in order to make even slim gains. That, or break out your wallet to make gains that for any other game, would be completely normal.
If I hadnt spent all the MC I have, I still wouldnt be out of trial mechs, I havent even made 11million cbills yet in like my 140 games or so....my last like 30 or so have been CW, and it doesnt keep track, so idk what my actual count is.
In any other game, 140 games gets you atleast a quarter of the way through a modest portion of the grind. 140 games in WoT will put you clear up at atleast Tier 4 or 5. My alt wot acct has like 50 games and it could be up to tier 4, but I chose to stay at tier 2.
Any Battlefield series game, 140 games and you have pretty much an entire class or 2 fully kitted out and all the guns unlocked. THen, you stay and play because the game is simply FUN! I played 2142 for over 2 years after getting my soldier maxed out....game was just fun.
What is MWO's excuse? 140 games and your not even out of basic training yet. You get tossed in without a clue in the world what is happening, right in amongst the big boys to get wasted. Even if your a gifted newbie and pick the game up quickly, earning your 100K avg, its gunna be 600-800 games before you even get your first mech mastered, 200 or so before you even get your first mech to begin the basics....idc what anyone says, there is no need for a grind like that.
