You can switch to a STD 100 and add Ferro and get 2 more points of armor on the head. No point in having an XL when your engine is that small.

EDIT: You don't have enough heat sinks so never mind your build doesn't even work.

Ha! Was wondering how long that'd take. :D

After playing my GD, I have a newfound love of the AC10.

2 PPCs is way to hot on a quirked panther... and without truedubs... o_O

2 ppc hot on the panther?
Ya just gotta play support with it! You can't brawl in it.

If you drop the useless DHS you can add ferro and another ton of ammo:

Oh nice, didn't think about that. Thanks! I am just so used to slapping DHS on everything.

For good reason. I saw several SHS Urbies struggling to cool themselves yesterday - especially on Terra Therma.

What good is 7 extra rounds for the AC/20 when your heat is sinking by less than 1% per second?

If you overheat with one AC20 and one small laser you should work on your heat management skillz  :P

to be true, I overheated with 3 smalls and the lbx and 10 SHS from time to time yesterday.
But the Urbie seems to be the only mech beside the locust with viable SHS builds.

Yeah I haven't experienced many heat issues with just the two weapons, but I could see it becoming a problem with the more energy oriented fits.

Here are the plans for my take on Deputy Dog, on the 63(S). I still need to grind the cbills for double heatsinks, ferro and two more jets, but I got the rest of it and took it for a spin, broke 300 damage its pretty fun mech.

For looks on the 63(S) if you do black primary, white secondary, black tertiary or white, black, white......it can almost pass for police. :)

On a heat-neutral map, you'd need 21 (15+7) SHS to stay heat-neutral with a single AC/20 and a SL.

With 10 SHS only, your dissipation is 1 heat/second, and your heat threshold is 40, so it takes 40 seconds to go from shutdown to zero heat.

Now on Terra Therma...

Let's just say that MWO isn't really designed for SHSs.

Semi-viable, yes. I saw an Urbie yesterday on Terra Therma that took a shot, got the overheat warning, waited, waited, waited for the warning to stop, and when it did he moved. That was enough for the overheat warning to go off again. Just moving.

In my experince, the Urbanmech doesn't even need DHS, making it easier to build Ferro and Endo onto them. My AC20 Urbie has a 100 standard and I believe either 1.5 tons of ammo or 2 tons. And then a single small laser and a jumpjet. Still a build I need to refine, but... yeah.

All my Urbies are setup more for long range combat (fire support/sniping). They all run XL170 (since I had one in stock). All have DHS and Endo if I recall.

UM-63(S): 1 ERPPC, 3 MGs, 2 SLasers, (4 JJs). I might go to a standard PPC due to heat of ER. If I do, I'll upgrade the SLasrers to SPLasers and lose a heat sink.

UM-60: 3 LLasers (no JJs). Bit hot, but very surprisingly manageable. I miss the JJs though, but keep the build because of the 2.14 KDR after 13 matches (best performer of the Urbies).

UM-R60L: 2 ERLLasers, 4 MGs, (2 JJs). Its OK. Just under 1 KDR, but I think it has better potential. I still like the build though. I'm guessing it will exceed 1 with time.

Just my builds I like so far. I do like the 2 LPLasers in the UM-60 BTW, so I think that is worth a look as well.

a decent build i think, relatively fast, medium pulse, and AC/2. i came up with this one today, it's main focus is low damage sniping and suppressive fire support.

All the Urbies! All of them!

Yes, I bought spares. Don't judge. Four of them are useful and practical; the remaining two are just for the lulz. If you can't figure out which, that's on you. :P
