My god PGI,

That this took so long to implement is beyond me... it should have been a launch feature XD

Lets begin our TLDR story:

After a bit of a break (due to work) I come back to this game. Haven't been on in a bit and my old team has since disbanded so I launch the solo queue. By this time I've had a few whiskies so I am a little buzzed and just looking to have a bit of fun.

Hit the lobby and someone asks "How's everyone doing tonight?" to my surprise an in game chat feature has been added OH BOY! =D.

Peek about the options to find the control for push to talk, easy enough to find... "caps lock" eh? (I think this is a veiled joke or something),

"Hey guys had a few shots of Jameson's (other brands are available =p) feeling good!"

Team:"I hear that"
"No better way to start a match"
"Havin some myself"
etc...

Oh! How nice to hear my teammates they sound like a fun bunch!

Start of match I ask where do we want to rollout? Receive quite a bit of input guys exchanging data about their builds as we walk into cover (ah my apologies we dropped in Forest Colony for your reference, started on the dish side) eventually we determine "Tunnel route is best route" (thanks Ruskie =D) We lumber in and run into an Orion our entire team takes offense to its very existence and make short work of him, calling shots, excusing ourselves when we step in someones los, or even making known were passing in front. However to our dismay their whole group has prepared for the tunnel rush and is arrayed in the small valley outpost.

Teammate "We need to push I've got low ct though"

I speak up... "I'll lead the charge! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!!!"

Whole team rolls with laughter and amidst shouts of "cover our comrade!" we charge into the enemy firing squad and break left and right after firing on available targets sending them back into cover. The situation breaks into a tense firefight people calling high threats and pointing out weak points in armor wounded friendlies called for assistance and teammates with fresh armor stepped in to shield all the while joking and laughing and having an overall good time.

"Oh Shizzle KING CRAB KILO KILO KILO" I call out frantically no way am I going to be able to slam reverse hard enough so I break in and circle him the best I can he spins blowing weapon after weapon off me but my team hearing my lamentations steps in and rains on him. He gets one last shot off sending me to the dirt... 1 kill 458 dmg not too bad for being a bit tipsy the rest of my team spreads out and finishes off the remaining few stragler's.

Over the radio I say "Haha Sorry guys Im the only casualty XD"

response? "No sweat man you took one for the team leading the charge and then taking that crab head on lol great fighting with you! See you on the battlefield friend!"

Man what a good first game of the night! Nice friendly and fun! This game should have always been this way. Very glad to see this feature implemented. Loving the ability to run into someone fun and new to add to my friends list.

TLDR: Hooray for ingame voip so many fun people to talk to and play with without having to go search for a good consistent group! it has a couple issues but its way better than nothing!

Yeah I love it! I was called a bunch of curse words by a guy on VOIP because I mentioned he should "push" with his K.Crab instead of hang in the back in CW. After going nuts on voip he TK'd me.

VOIP is awesome!!!!

...You must be new to the internet friend people will say horrible things about your mother because you like the color blue... its a cold world out here...

Now lets say you typed that to him... would that have changed his reaction? or would you have simply been tk'd in silence?

ah and this feature can be disabled

and one last thing how else would you communicate with him?

Turn it off. Problem solved. You can also turn off text chat to. Sometimes when I am not in the mood for others shenanigans I disable both and pretend my team is badly programmed AI that I need to escort.
