So I know this is not something new, it’s been there forever, and this only makes it worse. There are several complaints on these forums already, but I could not find any for 2015.
I’m not sure really if the issue are the hit boxes, or something else, but problem remain either way.

An Example.

Just now running my Dire Wolf with 2LL and 1 LPL in each arm on Forest colony I encountered a mech coming out of the cave. I was behind the rock wall and moved out slightly revealing my left side to the point where my crosshair had free sight with the wall to the right.
With the wide body of the Dire Wolf and free sight to the mech in front of me, I should be able to lay down 35dmg easily. Or so I tought, instead my lasers hit some invisible obstacle. Now, at this point mu huge orange DWF is hard to not spot at 200m and the enemy mechs returns fire. However, the invisible wall preventing me from shooting him does in no way protect me from his fire. No, he is able to hit my CT and LT. Did I say my weapons were in my LEFT arm?
Now, as I first back up a little taking fire before going forward again and him trying to stay hidden, I have time to do three more shots only getting far enough from the wall to hit with the last 20% of my fourth beam. At this time I should have done 140dmg, instead he rips my LT of my mech while doing no receiving close to no dmg at all.

Another Example from today.
On Crimson Strait running my Warhawk with MLs in my arms I’ve already heavily damaged and backing up into the tunnel to avoid LRMs and mechs on the high ground to the left. At this point, my left side is gone and CT is bas as well. Going backwards with my right side at the wall an FF enters the tunnel with damaged CT as well, apparently unaware of my presses he take a stop as he notice me. I don’t know how much armor the FF can carry, but my triple ML’s should be able to finish him off considering most of it was gone.

So, relative to me he is on the left side of the tunnel and I have free sight. The tunnel curves slightly to the right also. From my position, I’m turning slightly out left from the tunnel wall aiming at his CT. Again, my lasers apparently hits something invisible. At this time, the FF pilot is surprised no more, killing me off in an instance.

I've got hundereds of examples, and I'm sure others do as well.

This have to be fixed ASAP...

The issue with invisible walls has been in the game since the beta and release but I guess nobody really paid much attention to it since it obviously had to be fixed. However MWO is now officially a f2p and the problem still persists. I wonder if it will ever be fixed with all the other stuff going on but I am happy with the current state of the game nonetheless especially with the development of CW. It could be a lot worse. I think the invisible wall issue is mostly nitpicking as far as gameplay goes and it has a simple solution. Just don't think that when an edge is smooth that it actually is smooth and take it into consideration.

PGI requests that all feedback on wall detection goes here: http://mwomercs.com/...ision-feedback/

Please provide a screenshot of the exact location with F9 coordinates enabled in the top left corner.

Note: if you email them regarding this issue, they will ignore the report and simply link you to the above thread. It's best for organisation.

Well, I’m not talking about a few issues here and there witch we need to make PGI aware of. I’m not making this thread for people to show where they have problems. For this they can use the thread you link to.

The thing is we should not need to send PGI images of these problems, as they are apparent just about everywhere. I made this thread because I want to make PGI actually working on this issue, and to show that most (I hope) would like such things to be fixed before all kind of new features are implemented. Although I’d like to have both.
