I’m not sure really if the issue are the hit boxes, or something else, but problem remain either way.
An Example.
Just now running my Dire Wolf with 2LL and 1 LPL in each arm on Forest colony I encountered a mech coming out of the cave. I was behind the rock wall and moved out slightly revealing my left side to the point where my crosshair had free sight with the wall to the right.
With the wide body of the Dire Wolf and free sight to the mech in front of me, I should be able to lay down 35dmg easily. Or so I tought, instead my lasers hit some invisible obstacle. Now, at this point mu huge orange DWF is hard to not spot at 200m and the enemy mechs returns fire. However, the invisible wall preventing me from shooting him does in no way protect me from his fire. No, he is able to hit my CT and LT. Did I say my weapons were in my LEFT arm?
Now, as I first back up a little taking fire before going forward again and him trying to stay hidden, I have time to do three more shots only getting far enough from the wall to hit with the last 20% of my fourth beam. At this time I should have done 140dmg, instead he rips my LT of my mech while doing no receiving close to no dmg at all.
Another Example from today.
On Crimson Strait running my Warhawk with MLs in my arms I’ve already heavily damaged and backing up into the tunnel to avoid LRMs and mechs on the high ground to the left. At this point, my left side is gone and CT is bas as well. Going backwards with my right side at the wall an FF enters the tunnel with damaged CT as well, apparently unaware of my presses he take a stop as he notice me. I don’t know how much armor the FF can carry, but my triple ML’s should be able to finish him off considering most of it was gone.
So, relative to me he is on the left side of the tunnel and I have free sight. The tunnel curves slightly to the right also. From my position, I’m turning slightly out left from the tunnel wall aiming at his CT. Again, my lasers apparently hits something invisible. At this time, the FF pilot is surprised no more, killing me off in an instance.
I've got hundereds of examples, and I'm sure others do as well.
This have to be fixed ASAP...
