Seismic sensor is a bit different thing. There is no clear way for it to stac with sensor range module or BAP because it doesnt detect enemy mechs as such. Instead it detects enemy footsteps within certain radius, that appear as red blips on the minimap. It has its drawbacks and advantages. First of - it works only while your mech is stationary and while the enemy is moving. It may sound like a problem, but its not quite so. Just stop before corners for a bit and you'll have an improved situation awareness. The module is also immune to ECM and "sees" through any obstacles.

If some say its not useful in CW, then they might be snipers or LRMers. If you are going to get 'close and personal' then seismic sensor would be quite useful. I have it on each of my drop deck mechs. Along with Radar Deprivation, which extends lifespan dramatically.
